I'm guilty of it, using AVB, but listening to radio five live last night, they were talking about people that call our manager AVB, or Di Matteo was RDM. Should we be calling Ferguson, SAF? I'm going to make a point to use André Villas-Boas or at least Villas-Boas as thinking about it, calling our manager AVB is pretty ridiculous. What other managers had shortened versions of their names, right down to their initials?
When AVB invites me round for a glass or two I will call him Andre, until then AVB will do just fine. For one thing I can't guarantee that I will spell Villas Boas correctly anyway, ABV is much easier I wont get that wrong. We all know who BVA is now anyway!
Spurf, just type (five times) Villas-Boas Villas-Boas Villas-Boas Villas-Boas Villas-Boas and then it will be embedded in your memory.
Vilas Boa Villos Baos Villers Boous Villas Boreus Vileas Boa Cheers Boss I've got it now. VilboaAndrews.
AVB for me,he isn't 'Arry' or 'BMJ' because he's still too distant so it's formal from me. Perhaps if and when he wins something for us then I'll relax and be less formal. he's not one of us......................not yet.
Spurf, Thankfully i changed my name from "the boss" to just "boss" as PNP used to call me TB which is short for Tuberculosis!
Funnily enough, Alex Ferguson is known as Constantly Using Nobheaded Tantrums For Aggrivating Coaches Everywhere...
