Stand by for AVB to pubically complain about Spurs/Levy, the way he did about Chelsea once he secured employment at Spurs. I wonder what he will have to say about the squad, and the new players signed last Summer!
AVB should give seminars on how to conduct yourself in interviews. Blagging himself the Zenit job is just incredible.
AVB has reached the CL league just as he promised Levy he would. Shame it's not with Spurs I hasten to add that's it not a shame, I could not have stood more of his negative football even if we had reached the CL.
Zenit have/had a fair amount of Portuguese speakers in their squad, so AVB would have an advantage there.
We complain about Levy, so why can't the guy who worked for him complain about him? We see Levy's approach in some things, why do you think it won't have affected the man working for him or the job he does/did?
Villas-Boas will moan about the signings that were made, but at least we should get an idea as to which ones he actually wanted.
How can anyone blame AVB for anything? He should never have been offered the job. Some of us saw that from the very start. Levy, supposedly a footballing guru, didn't. Levy was proved wrong. Why are people turning this into an AVB witch-hunt, instead of using it to turn on Levy? I just don't understand the rationale.
Every other club in the world would have been praising AVB and Levy for the record points total last year
What's crazy about what I said? A lot of us didn't want AVB at our club because we saw that he was the wrong fit - FACT. Levy appointed him - FACT. AVB proved to be be the wrong fit - FACT. Levy sacked AVB - FACT. Sorry, but am I missing something, here?
I'm sure I can join with at least one or two other posters in wishing AVB the best of luck at Zenit. He was not the right man for the job this year, but three things stand out for me. 1. It seemed like he really cared, and that he wasn't a bad guy. 2. He lost his key man both years he was here at the last possible moment due to his chairman botching one deal and making another. 3. Despite that, his team had the most points in the PL era, and he is our winningest coach ever (I think).
If avb didnt want some of the signings he should have said at the time...but instead he came out with some bollocks about selling elvis and buying the Beatles. He could have looked principled but will end up looking spineless. As for levy...great with money and transfer fees but shockingly ****e at choosing managers
Huh? Me! Lacking a sense of humour? I'll have you know that they don't call me HIAG The Clown for nothing, pal.
