Didn't agree with his appointment,as Manager, but he's done well in his first season,i said i expected 5th,hopefully higher, which in other years we would have got with 72 points. The other good point is he stopped out end of season wobbles. I like him and hope we continue to improve under him,he's not a top manager yet,but he is getting there, and i think RA made a big mistake in sacking him instead of backing him, just wish he would speak louder in his interviews, seems to mumble

CL winners v backing AVB......difficult to decide that is <doh><doh><doh><doh><doh>

Possibly longer term it could have been a mistake if you didn't get maureen in, but as long as he doesn't fall out with RA (always a possibility), I guess your club will stop being so short term now.

As funny as I'd find it, I doubt Mourinho would get sacked within a couple of years. The money he's earning would result in a massive severance payment if Roman wanted rid and I think even Roman would think twice about that.

Severance payments have never stopped him before! We've seen that Mourinho has become even more arrogant and egotistical in the last 2/3 years, RA couldn't deal with him last time, so what's to say this time will be any more fruitful...

Isn't Jose supposed to be earning something like £250k a week over the next 4 years though? The severance package if they got rid within a year or two would be crazy, probably more than all the severance payments of previous managers combined I'd reckon, surely even Roman wouldn't be crazy enough to pay someone off that much, would he?!

Unfortunately that's not going to happen, Roman would be murdered. Every possibility that he'll be gone in 2 years though.

Roman would be murdered? I think it more likely that Roman would have all the disapproving Chelsea fans murdered before any of them could get to him.
Roman vs Chelsea fans:
Old fashioned punch up: Fan
Hired assassination: Roman

Send all the chavs to the Gulags!

Probably a step up in the world for most of them actually...

The next couple of seasons will tell us how successful the new management will be. Difficult for me to offer an opinion on AVB after just one injury plagued season and the loss of three major players. I can say that IMO he has not done a great deal wrong in his public appearances and the team looks bonded. Looking good so far.
