Mark Hughes... Louis Van Gaal... Rafa Benitez... Martin O'Neil... All just sat around looking for jobs. Thoughts on those candidates?
Martin O'Neill and Hughes certainly seem viable options in the event of Bruces departure, whenever or if that may be. Rafa and Van Gaal I believe would be wanting some serious investment which cant be good for the finances if it turns out sour, even if Bruce has spent a fair penny.
Mark Hughes - Alright manager but probably not good enough for you's Louis Van Gaal - Quality but far too good for you's! Rafa Benitez - Sorry but personally I think he is as bad as Bruce Martin O'Neil - Perfect match, a decent manager who would fit in well at somewhere like Sunderland
Benitez took Valencia from obscurity to 2 league titles and CL finals. He won the CL with a distinctly average Liverpool side. I'll take that kind of poor.
Benitez is hopeless. How do so many numpties get into these jobs? Any manager that understands how to create a dangerous attack will do for me. Pace (extra important in this league), balance, etc. Our midfield looks ponderous. We lack balance. There's no threat 'in behind'.
Bring back Malcolm Crosby - at least he took us on a cup run AND provided comedy status by looking like Gene Wilder!
I honestly believe he was a lucky twat BB. Some of his team selections at Liverpool left the Pool supporters as dumfounded as Bruce did to us tonight. Pretty sure if the fans hadn't hated their owners so much, they would have went after Benitez.
To be honest has anyone asked what the tea lady's doing??? She'd do a better job than Bruce at the mo! Honestly surely Quinn (as a footballing man has to be asking Bruce questions (whilst lining up the tea lady on the sly)....
Steve Bruce. I know its really hard atm to defend him, even I am struggling after tonight, someone joked Steve Staunton, but what if they get rid of Bruce and do give him the Job Temporary, he wins 2-3 games, and they then give him the job permanent (its happened before with Sbragia) as they cant get MON, Moyes or anyone we think they may get, its better the devil you know as they say. But in all seriousness, its still far too early to give him the boot IMHO, I was firmly in the Bruce in camp, now I am hedging towards the Bruces (BRuce UdeCidEded Supporters, yeah i will get my coat for that one) camp, but i think to sack him now would be a bit daft, If they did sack him I wouldnt cry about it, its Sunderland I support not the Manager and I will trust Quinn and Shorts decision on whatever they decide.
