Me, my brother (doesnt come on this board), and my dad were talking about Auto Leisureland, in pallion, early to mid 70s, and, well, we've got crap memories. It was where matalan or poundstretchers (?) is, was huge (or I was small), it was one of the very few places open on a sunday, loads of car stuff, a low slung bright red sports job (fibre glass body?) inside the place!, bikes, loads of bikes, billions of stickers!!!!, that white and black checkered electricians tape we had stuck all over our bikes, a cafe (total blank over details), toys, well at least my brother can remember buying a toy gun, arcade type machines - definitely one with a gun shooting ducks, cant remember others, and, and, and, bugger! Anybody?
Army honed it to perfection, later Cowies body shop moved right down the back,air rifles and water guns shooting ducks
I was all ower Sunderland when i was young, sailing in Hudson dock with the sea cadets, bus up to felling farm horse riding, rabbiting with air rifles with my big cousin, swimming in high street baths, dancing to soul at seaburn in the concrete dome, and in the penny arcade there loads of memories.
