    Best Driver: Valterri Bottas. Faultless.
    Worst Driver: Robert Kubica, Sadly.
    Luckiest Driver: N/A
    Unluckiest Driver: Grosjean
    Best Rookie/New Driver: Lando Norris

    Best Team: Mercedes
Surprise Team: Ferrari. Not all surprises are good.
Worst Team: Williams. Their car is only two tenths faster than it was in 2017. What the hell are they doing?
    Best Overtake: Verstappen on Vettel

    Most expected result: Maybe Renault?
Funniest moment: Haas mechanics seem to melt in the Australian heat.
Excuse of the weekend: "Ferrari are holding something back" - Every Pundit.

Special Mention: Lance Stroll. Surprisingly competant race.

Race Rating: 2/10 - Depressingly uncompetitive and not a lot of battling. Melbourne hasn't a strong race in while now. Don't think it suits the wide cars.

    Best Driver: Bottas
Worst Driver: Vettel for being shown up by Le Clerc
Luckiest Driver: Bottas for not clouting the barrier on the penultimate corner in practice
    Unluckiest Driver: Ricciardo
Best Rookie/New Driver: Russell, for being a rookie who beat his team mate.

    Best Team: Mercedes
    Surprise Team: Ferrari
    Worst Team: Williams (obviously)
    Best Overtake: Verstappen on Vettel

Biggest Surprise: How close the midfield is.
Most expected result: Mercedes turning the wick up after testing.
    Funniest moment: NA
Excuse of the weekend: Ferrari not allowing LeClerchis earned 4th place because there was "no reason" to risk it.

Special Mention: Honda for getting on the podium

    Race Rating: 5/10

Best Driver: Bottas. I've liked his approach to this season. Hamilton got in his head last year making him feel like the wingman so he prepared over the winter learning Hamiltons strengths and weaknesses and it paid off in style here this weekend. Only blip was qualifying where he was purple with .2 ahead in first 2 sectors but lost .4 in the 3rd. Sky didn't pick that up or explain what happened...

Worst Driver: well Kubica but it was a lot of bad luck like. Bad car, hitting the wall slightly and getting a puncture in qualifying. And in the race losing his wing and getting a replacement wing that was not in good shape.

Luckiest Driver: Vettel for getting team orders on his side in race 1.
    Unluckiest Driver: as above kubica
Best Rookie/New Driver: Norris did very very well in qualifying.

    Best Team: Mercedes.... oh oh.
Surprise Team: Red bull. I'm surprised they have maintained where they were with engine swap. Thought it might of took a while. Very positive start for them.

    Worst Team: Ferrari... uh oh
    Best Overtake:bottas on ham

    Biggest Surprise: Mercedes miles ahead

Most expected result: Williams at back was only expectation of pecking order.

Funniest moment: the change in Bottas memes over the weekend. I have a weak spot for the 'its James' memes if you have ever seen them. Also VDGs tweet about his caterham was good.

Excuse of the weekend: Hamiltons pace. Wasnt all floor.

Special Mention: Stroll. I actually like him. I hope he does prove something this year. I don't think he is just another rich kid pay driver

Race Rating: 7/10 it was ok. But worrying

Best Driver: Bottas, almost perfect weekend
Worst Driver:Sorry but Kubica I do hope he gets used to the car asap.
    Luckiest Driver: Vettel
Unluckiest Driver: Riccardo - so unlucky to hit that hidden gulley - I bet he will look at the grass to the side of startline in future!!!
    Best Rookie/New Driver: Norris

    Best Team: Merc
Surprise Team: Red Bull - I was hoping that Honda would give them a semi reasonable PU and looks like they have.
Worst Team: Williams - by the sound of it they have an idea what is wrong so hopefully before too long they can fix it, but worrying why they got it wrong again!
    Best Overtake: Max on Seb

Biggest Surprise: It looks like cars can actually follow relatively closely - hopefully bodes well.
Most expected result: Merc at front
Funniest moment: Front running drivers all asking to do fastest lap - I wonder how much life they are taking out of the PUs?
Excuse of the weekend: Merc saying Lewis had damaged floor, why not just say he was beaten by Bottas on merit?

Special Mention: Le Clerc for catching his team mate and being told to hold station!!!!

    Race Rating: 5/10

As good as it was to see him back, he was off the pace of Russell all weekend and hit the wall twice in practice and quali, to hit the wall coming into the pitlane is very poor. Hard to say it was a 'luck' thing as the mistakes were his own.

Hopefully he'll be fine, but maybe this is why the other teams that tested him wouldn't put him in a race seat. I'm sure Renault had seen in its testing data that he was not on the pace. If after 4 races there is no improvement I think he could be dropped.

    Kubica:
After his terrible accident, I said he'd never be back in F1. I was wrong. And frankly, I am still astonished he made it onto the grid.

Sadly, I think it speaks volumes about Williams; that it was the only team willing to grab the short-term romanticised publicity he brought …

[Even when it's the worst on the grid, Sir Frank seems to still think it's all about HIS car]

Biggest Surprise: How poor Ferrari were
    Most expected result: Merc winning
Funniest moment: The fan placard “Ricardo doesn’t need wings” 100 meters later, No Front Wing!

I think everybody is forgetting Kvyat (on older tyres), overtook a much faster Red Bull with Gasly at the wheel, just after Gasly came out of the pits and Kvyat stayed in front until the flag. I think that was a great overtake.

    Best Driver: Bottas.
Worst Driver: Kubica. Gasly looked overwhelmed too.
Luckiest Driver: Vettel. Binotto declared team orders in his favour a couple of weeks ago. Anyone might be forgiven for thinking it's Schumacher.
    Unluckiest Driver: Ricciardo.
    Best Rookie/New Driver: Norris.

    Best Team: Mercedes.
Surprise Team: Ferrari so far adrift. That said, it does seem to be a track which favours Mercedes.
Worst Team: This will become a repetitive theme; Williams.
    Best Overtake: Verstappen v Vettel.

Biggest Surprise: The gap between Mercedes and Ferrari.
    Most expected result: Vettel.

Special Mention: Honda. Welcome back. Also Leclerc who had the pace to beat Vettel; and Albon whose debut was solid.
Fastest Lap has already had the desired effect.

    Race Rating: 6.06/10

I mean other things made his bad weekend look even worse. He's not that bad and off the pace. I fully expect Russell to be the better driver anyway. I hope he can move on to better things and not have a career wrecked by Williams.

But anyway I'm going to change my unlucky driver to Sainz who had qualifying and race both ruined by things out of his control.

Yes. I agree, Bando. Regardless of his driving, Kubica didn't have the best of luck.

I think we're all with you on that. Both he and Williams don't deserve the indignity of being perennial back markers.

Just seen the damage to Hamiltons car. If that little damage causes that much time loss then Williams really need to copy this (The unbroken version)

It doesn't just a excuse for why he was so far off Bottas.
