This is a send-up dedication to Australian Football's most hated team, Collingwood. I am sure we have a wit on the board who could change this around to TWS.
P.S. Buckley is Collingwood's Coach whilst Cloke is their leading goal-kicker.
Apologies to any ex-pat who supports the Magpies!

Further to the above there was a tragedy in Aussie Rule Football a couple of days ago when the Head Coach of the Adelaide Crows AFL team was stabbed to death by his son - full details have not been released as yet. Their game at the week-end has been canceled.
After the Hawthorn v Collingwood game was played out the team and coaches linked together in a moving token of respect.

Roo, does the "one-eyed supporters" reference have any subtle connection to Barrie McKenzie's famous "one-eyed trouser snake" ? If so, very clever.

    Terrible news about Phil Walsh.

No mate, it just means that they have no other team than Collingwood on their sights. They have one eye and it's focused on "The Maggies" although most non-Magpie fans would say that Magpie fans are a bunch of pricks!<laugh>
Yes, terrible about Phil Walsh and their is much more to come. His son has been charged but had to be heavily sedated when he appeared in court.
Put a huge dampener on the game just now.:emoticon-0106-cryin

Oh when the Saints Go marching In - Oh when the Saints Go marching In. I remember 1966.......... As for the PIES... Great Fan Base .. Internally run like a Swiss clock. , But hated Intensely by ALL OTHER TEAMS FANS.. Internally as a club & supporters , they have an equivalence of say a Man Utd in the U.K. only their ability on the field lets them down. The Ex- sharpie from Broady - Eddie Maguire is NO Asset et Al. Good bloke but I.M.O a ****house businessman.

Good Ol Collingwood forever - they know how to play the game - side by side they stick together .......and so it trails orf ..... La La la... etc.

    SAINTERS FOR THE FLAG..................

Now come on there is only one team to follow in the AFL the mighty Tigers or Richmond to those who do not know.
Very much like City they give heartache, especially today but that why I love them so.
    And respect to Phil Walsh.

I've always followed Richmond for that very reason. Plus I like lazy lunchtimes on Bridge Road...

The only Aus Rules game I have ever attended was in your State in 1968 when I went from Sydney for an interview for my first job in Australia. Invited to spend the weekend in Adelaide with my wife we were taken to a Port Adelaide match. I ended up taking the job but had to leave it and return to Sydney after a couple of months, as my wife was unable to find any suitable employment due to regulation that favoured single women over married women.

That experience so soured my wife's interest in the game that although I view AFL Grand Finals she does not.
