<peacedove>I do not know if it is good or bad playing Manchester City,Manchester United and Arsenal that early in the season.
Certainly it is going to be a test of characters for our players and supporters too.

    Our Fixtures:

    AUGUST 2012,
    18/08 West Brom (A)
    26/08 Manchester City (H)

    SEPTEMBER 2012.
    02/09 Arsenal (H)
    15/09 Sunderland (A)
    23/09 Manchester United (H)
    29/09 Norwich (A)
West Brom,Sunderland and Norwich are not going to be push over too.
To me, our home games are very important:it is necessary we do well at home in the new season.

In those early games our opponents have to worry about hitting the ground running
aswell,in some ways we will start the season as an unknown quantity.I agree our home
form must improve this season and i think it will.

I'm going to just shrug my shoulders and refer to the FACT that if you win all your games against the bottom ten home and away you pocket 60points... the games agaisnt top 4 sides are not so vital after all!

It worked for us in 08/09. We didn't beat a single one of the top 8 away from home, and lost to Liverpool at OT. But won pretty much every other game and voila <ok>

I see the second half of the season as the key.

I see games 1-37 as key... we would have won the league by game 38 so not as important <whistle>

Its a bit like us last season having to play West Brom away 1st and then 3 out of next 4 games were at home to Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea and we won all of them, so yeah not an easy start but good to get it out of the way with some good results.
