I've decided to stop being an obsessive and focus on things in my life non-Saints related throughout the close season. So no more posting for me for a while, but have to say huge thanks to fellow posters who make this such a fascinating board. So many highlights. A recent thread that was almost entirely in French was simply brilliant. Lamballana's totally irrelevant but ingenious threads cheered some bad days. Great banter with proper Pompey fans is always welcome. Overall, the quality of contributions, my own excepted of course, is amazing. Also got to mention our mods, who do a thankless task so well. Finally, I have to share a nice story. My grandson, who lives in Manchester, is 7 next week. He watched the Coventry game on TV with his mum and grandmother, both of whom are ardent United fans. After the game, he spoke to me as I was cavorting on the pitch (should know better at my age) and told me that he wants a Saints kit for his birthday. Result! See you next season.
