Have any of you guys seen matches not involving NUFC in other countries?

I'm in Istanbul next week for Besiktas v Fenerbache with a Fener daft Turkish mate and i'm really looking forward to it.

Yeah but not for a long time,Shamrock Rovers when Liam O'Brien was playing and beautiful player. It was said O'Brien was Liam Brady's poor cousin, maybe so Brady was special and rated in best players of all time list and rightly so but I do remember O'Brien's cultured left foot running the show for the Toon at one time.

Years ago I went to see Real Madrid vs Osasuna (strangely they were top of the league at the time) that team had Roberto Carlos, David Beckham, Fat Ronaldo up front and they bought Zidane on for Robinio. Was really pleased to see him play before he retired. Totally changed the game when he came on. Robinio was being bullied off the park. Zidane came on and just stared their midfielders down...they didn't go near him!

Germany specifically Dusseldorf in the late 70's and early 80's, quite a revelation then as the stadium seemed so modern compared to SJP at that time, there was violence around then as well though.

I've been to Red Bull matches here in the states but I am fairly sure that the experience that I had is in no way relevant to what you are asking.

I once went to watch York City play in Liverpool - does that count? It certainly felt and sounded like a different country! Otherwise have only ever watched England play abroad in Japan, South Africa and Brazil - which was great fun (apart from the footie).
