Given our history of poor numbers for away games it would be interesting to know who goes/who does not.

Before I started sulking(it's boycotting Mr van Gerwen) and going non-league, I used to do every weekend away. The midweeks are restricted to London games.

Back in the 1980s I was Seb Lewis-like. Between 1986 and 1990 I did 200 consecutive games, home and away.

Back in the Selhurst era it wasn’t unusual for us to take 100-200 to some away games. I remember going to Lincoln City for a pre season friendly and we had about 10 fans there.

Have kept up a steady stream of the aways since then. I enjoy going to clubs where I have already been to their original stadium and they have rebuilt.

To be a long term Charlton away fan you need plenty of disposable cash and an ability to soak up constant disappointment :emoticon-0148-yes:

I used to do a lot of aways when I was single, but that stopped and I only did homes plus local derbies for a while. Since I've stopped buying a S/T a couple of seasons ago I've been doing a few homes and a few aways, and take it a game at a time.

In my youth I would go to as many Charlton away games as my budget would allow. If I couldn't afford a long trip North I would go to a London ground ( excluding Palace), to watch a game. The liveliest was Chelsea versus West Ham in the seventies when West Ham took over the shed end. I even was a regular visitor to the Old Den. I don't go to many away games now as my enthusiasm waned under this poisonous owner.
