Give the fact tonight's game is all ticket, and ticket office only open until 5. also its a midweek game will the fact that its a local derby (well almost) do you think or is there anyone who knows what our attendance will average, I'm going for around 32k like.

I have been in contact via facey with an old flame - Syd - and he reckons that the attendance on the stadium plan is pretty poor.

Given that we have all been crying out for years for a manager that takes the cups seriously and yet now we have one (in a must be won local derby game too), I'd say anything less than 35,000 is ****e, especially when tickets are only £15. Granted if you are working or genuinely can't afford to go then fine but not everyone falls into that category and its an easy shout to just cry hard up and blame the economy. How many times have we been involved in home games of this calibre and do we want a manager that wants to win the cups or a Bruce like manager that plays **** teams in them?

I bet the stay away fans tonight would be moaning like cheap whores if they couldn't get tickets should we go all the way to Wembley though?

We're playing a small team in Yorkshire on a freezing cold Tuesday night.

They'll bring a few thousand, I'd reckon around 35-38k, which is ok against such a small club.

Have to say I agree Cest - under 35k is very poor IMO regardless of the "Tuesday Night" and the "Cold" - ****ing hell I used to stand in snow in the Fulwell end!! Sad reality isn't it

**** the cold, I've been back a matter of days from the sun, and I am relishing a night game under the lights freezing in 8 layers.

The best way to watch footy man, under the lights in winter!

It shouldn't matter who it is we're playing against, we should be going to see our team and supporting them. I don't get why the attendances fluctuate so much whether we're playing against Aldershot or Arsenal, who are we turning up to see?

They reckon about 30,000, and the trouble is we are playing like Aldershot at the moment!. Start Connor whickham with Fletch, and could Mcfadden play?.

I would be surprised if there is over 30,000 for this fixture..I will go for 28,000.

My guess is between 10000 and 49000 (By this fence is giving me splinters!!)

I'm not sure what to expect - I'm hoping for a good performance but would forego that for a win as literally all that matters in the cup is the result - Birmingham didn't exactly play well in the final of the league cup but their name went on it!!

Good performance and a win obviously but a win is all that matters to me

My guess would be just over 25k, the football we play will keep 6-7k away tonight. I'm not saying that it's right this will happen, but it's a fact of life.

I think like me there is a massive SAFC fan base who travel quite large distances to the games. Mid week just means most of us cannot manage it with work and the ****e traffic. Its a shame if I lived within 40 miles I would have gone tonight but 200 miles makes it impossible.

Who really cares??? Those that are going enjoy, those who aren't enjoy whatever you are doing instead.
