Before the week-end I was so worried about the fate of Pompey_London having his match 5 score multiplied by 25, I overlooked the fact that attendances for match 3 were grossly over-estimated. With plenty of cards in play this meant six-figure match scores for three players; Singing Blue 3, saintrichie123 and I am the Herminator. This was a total disaster for Hermy as he had the small matter of a Triple-Dare to contend with, thanks to Stewie, who is now off his Christmas card list! Stewie came 2nd in both Triple-Dares, pompeymeowth came 3rd in his and Penshawedave won both resulting in his weekly total being halved. The best total of the week was just 2,082 by devonFRATTONiser, who moves up from 5th to 3rd. JakeTheSaint is up to 2nd after a four-figure total and a similar feat for SFC4BAG sees him go above richie into 6th. Here is the new table: 1..(1)..Penshawdave……………879432……(3445)…..875,987 2..(4)..JakeTheSaint……………837511……(7194)…..830,317 3..(5)..devonFRATTONiser…....790247……(2082)…..788,165 4..(2)..pompeymeowth…………866572…..(97164)…..769,408 5..(3)..Singing Blue 3…………..839754…..(89211)…..750,543 6..(7)..SFC4BAG……………….692404……(8967)…..683,437 7..(6)..saintrichie123……………700694….(143030)….557,934 8..(9)..Pompey_London………...444190…..(46296)…..397,894 9..(8)..I am the Herminator……..513401….(472749)…...40,652 Hermy needs to play a blinder next week if it’s not to be his swansong! Hmm, looking for a rabbit to pull out of my hat So here goes.............. 18,657 j 15,657 p 5,657 m 4,657 z 1,657 g 2,657 f Triple dare please Devo.
The Pompey lot have probably seen the thread, but, for the benefit of the rest of you, there's a new game that will be starting this week [subject to interest]. It is based on the time of the first goal in Pompey and Saints games and the cards shown by the referee. Here's the link http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/171632-New-Game
1,792 points plus match 3. A disaster. If only you's been as close o that match you could have had the best score of the week! You must feel like a visiting manager to Old Trafford when United score a winner in the 10th minute of 'Fergie-Time'
Wigan v Everton 19799 g Crystal Palace v Burnley 14255 m Motherwell v Dundee Utd 4789 j Walsall v Carlisle 3899 p Accrington v Rochdale 1855 z Lincoln v Luton 1999 f
20954 P 12999 M 5485 G 4293 J 1900 F 2412 Z Triple Dare! Dev, could you think of a way of maing a quadruple dare ?? Like where you play against the people above and below you, as well as an additional player, who you get to chose! It would certainly be exciting! Please make a quadruple dare, dev!
Hermy must have pressed the wrong key 29576 instead of a more likely 20576. (cost around 469,000 ??) One tough hell of a hit. Most other preds were in the 20,000 range. Tough luck Hermy after such a great set of other predictions. Well here's my efforts with the new "red hot" cards. I though I might start in alphabetical order and the old trusted 4444444's 18444 F 14444 G 4844 J 3844 M 2044 P 2444 Z
Funnily enough that is something along the lines of what I did ponder over just before I introduced the Triple-Dare. I'll keep it on the back-burner for this game as we've had a lot of card changes recently. The one thing that put me off was the thought of every-one playing it and targeting the person at the top of the table. If I do introduce this in the next game there will have to be big rewards for the nominated player if he wins and severe penalties for the card player if he doesn't; thus making it a very high-risk card to play! Hermy and P_L have both suffered like this in the current game. I think in the next game I will come up with a ceiling for the points one can lose in a single week
30% discounts all round this week! High multiple (8 or more) matches you might be sweating on: Penshawdave: Match 4 x8 JakeTheSaint: Match 6 x36 [subject to a Z] devonFRATTONiser: Match 4 x 16 pompeymeowth: Match 3 x9 [subject to a Z] Singing Blue 3: Match 5 x15 [subject to a Z] SFC4BAG: N/A saintrichie123: Match 4 x16 Pompey_London: Match 3 x9 I am the Herminator: N/A One Triple-Dare played by P_L against richie & Hermy
At least under the new rules Hermy will only suffer if he comes third - and his score will be halved if he wins
