Congratulations to Richisontheboat33 for winning the first Attendance Game.

Attendance Game II is now open for any-one who wants to give it a go.

Any-one joining in week one will start on 500,000 points

Please check out the rules, as there are a couple of amendments to those of the previous game.

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Attendance Game Rules

Your entry will consist of the five individual attendances for the five matches indicated.

Your score will go down by the difference between your prediction and the actual attendance. However, nothing is as simple as it first looks……

In true “The Price Is Right” style, you can guess under, but not a penny over. If your guess is over the actual attendance the score for that match will be doubled.

Play your Joker. This doesn’t affect your total, but that of the player immediately above you in the table, as it will double their score for that fixture. Type a J after your chosen attendance.

Pay the Penalty. This DOES affect your score as it will double your score for that fixture (don’t over-estimate or it will be quadrupled!). Type a P after your chosen attendance

You must not play your Joker and Pay the Penalty on the same fixture.

Double Dare. This is OPTIONAL. If you choose to do the Double Dare you will be up against the player immediately above you in the table. The one with the worst score (after the Jokers/Penalties etc have been added) will have their total score DOUBLED. Type DOUBLE-DARE at the bottom of your entry.

Postponements. (new) If one of the featured fixtures is postponed, the fixture will be void. Any Jokers or Penalties will shift “to the right”; so if match 4 is off, any Jokers or Penalties for that game will transfer to match 5. If match 5 is off, they transfer to match 1 etc

Deadline. The deadline for entries is 12 Noon on Saturday.

Early-Bird discount.(new) As some players choose to see other entries and try and use it to their advantage, here is an incentive to post early in the week.
Post on Sunday/Monday 30% ‘discount’ on your week’s total
Post on Tuesday 20% ‘discount’ on your score
Post on Wednesday 10% ‘discount’ on your score
Post on Thursday = no change
Post on Friday 10% ‘Surcharge’ on your score
Post on Saturday 20% ‘Surcharge’ on your score
Discounts and surcharges are applied BEFORE taking Double-Dares into account. Therefore, if you are playing (or are subject to) a Double-Dare, it could be to your advantage to post early!

(new)Due to the Early-Bird discount, all entries must be public and not sent by PM. Also I can only accept your FIRST ANSWER.

    PENALTIES

Late Entries: As I always pick Saturday 3pm kickoffs, late entries will be accepted, up to 3pm, but entries after 12 noon will carry a 50% surcharge instead of 20%.

Non-Runners. Any contestant who fails to post his attendances by 3pm will face a penalty of DOUBLE the worst total, so if you forget, you’d better pray that there were no late entries and that no-one has done the Double Dare that week!

Failure to play your Joker: If you fail to play your joker, then the player above you in the table will have it assigned to his best [lowest] score. Your score for that particular fixture will be doubled.

Failure to Pay the Penalty: If you fail to play your Pay the Penalty card, it will be assigned to your worst [highest] score and it will be trebled instead of doubled.

New Participants:(new) After the first week, once the game is underway, new contestants may join, starting with a total of 1,000 below the bottom score. However, this is a “Last Man Standing” competition, so no new entrants will be permitted after the first elimination.

    EXAMPLE ENTRY

    28,336
    10,225
    7,852 J
    2,221
    3,978 P
    DOUBLE DARE

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Fixtures for 18 February:

    Millwall v Bolton
    Southampton v Derby
    Sheffield Utd v Preston
    Bristol Rov v Oxford
    Kidderminster v Lincoln

As this is the first round and we are all on an equal footing, there will be no Jokers or Double-Dares this week. You must, however still remember to play your Penalty card

  10. Where's SB3, Colin, Pompey Lapras and all the other participants who played the original attendance game?

You thought the games were over, they've only just begun...

Rest easy, Lads. The Fodder is going to sit this one out as he knows that he won't be able to post in a couple of weeks due to a hospital stay (violins on standby). Nothing serious, but I will watch with interest when I am out and about and I may poke fun from the sidelines as usual.

  17. Not sure if any of you guys do this but I have an accumulator bet on for this weekend. I stand to make £438 if my seven matches come in (£10 stake).

I'm not a gambler; just an occasional flutterer...

You need to play your penalty card, or else it will be put against your worst score and trebled instead of doubled!
