SB3, unlike your 'train timetable approach' to attendance predictions, I use tea-leaves, divination, astrology, tarot cards and a crystal ball. If there is a foul wind blowing and a 'disturbance in the force', thus precluding the use of aforementioned techniques, I engage in applied statistical analysis using my league-winning formulas...
...or if arctic weather is forecast, check each team's average gate on the interweb although that tactic doesn't work any more
