Attendance 22,690 Down 5,000 on the normal gate. Another 5,000-6,000 left before the end vowing not to renew their season tickets.

They can push the “Early bird” tickets as much as they like but with Pulis at the helm there will be no need for Mr Coats to fill in the corners of the stadium to get another 1,800 supporters in. “This football club” has lost it`s way and the future looks grim.

By the way I noticed three Roles Royce cars on the car park and the odd Bentley. (Mr Pulis`s i`m told) It`s obviously it`s the money men that matter at this football club and Mr Coates and his guests are laughing all the way to the bank. As for the supporters they are working hard to earn enough money to buy their season tickets for next season. With performances like I witnessed yesterday I feel that todays drop in gates will become the norm next season. Money men watch out, the natives have had enough.

Moels - see my last 150 posts.
It's blindingly obvious that it is not about football.

Just scrape your way to 40 points Tone and you have another 12 months with your snout in the Sky trough

The only way to hurt money men is in the pocket, the 5000 need a voice then more will follow and Coates will take notice.

But who do you then get in who can get this group playing the style you want? Allardyce's teams always struggle after he leaves because it takes time to get your mindset away from negative hoofball and it would be risking the same in my opinion.

    Watford,

We've been struggling for years with that mindset, the initial step is to remove Pulis!!

Clueliss is the (problem) NOT our squad which, on paper is as good as any team in the top half..(EDIT) good enough to get a top half finish, we we're 8th and walking it not so long ago now??..
We look like relegation fodder becuase of one man.

Numerous half decent Manger's would jump at the chance to come to Stoke City. The potential is there for all to see. but...

The potential is there at Stoke. A chairman who loves the club and is willing to back his manager, good fan base, intimidating stadium and already a good roster of footballers despite what Clueless makes them do each week with his stupid underdog tactics.

He loves money , ( "the love of money is the root of all evil" ) and evil is now upon us. Stoke City F.C. is a cash-cow for Coates.
And because Coates is aware of the problem , one way or another , Clulis will change or be replaced.

spot on , I dont know why people are having a go at Coates though, hes bank rolled the £120 million on some very good players, unfortunately the manager hasnt got a clue what to do with them

I think the negativity that will potentially raise its head towards Coates is that it is ultimately his decission on what happens at the club. If he refuses to see the wood for the tress in respect of the increasing discontent then his is as guilty as TP or guilty by association (or too much loyality).

But in priciple Ricc I agree, the ideal world would see Coates backing another manager with the support and funds he has afforded TP!

but how can he sack Pulis?, on paper in his 5 years his achievements are brilliant. If he sacked him now he would get slaughtered by the press and a lot of the fans, obviously I want Pulis out but I think we will need to be in the relegation zone for Coates to contemplate it. If we finished say 15th or lower then he might have a reason to sack him but Coates wont sack Pulis even if we got relegated IMO.

Coates isnt the problem PULIS is

He may have invested a considerable sum Ricc , but overall he is in profit , and at our expense.

Valid point and you are right, even if we were relegated TP would probably be one of the best men to bring you back up!

It would depnd who was brought in, but based on what some clubs have done this season (in respect of manager changes) I dont think the press would have too much to say and niether would most of the tradditional fans base.

The best suited option would be for TP to "retire" at the end of the season on "his terms"!

I agree Ric, Pulis is the problem not Peter Coates but what should he (PC) do about it?

all I can say is if he sacked Pulis now we would be relegated, I hate to watch the **** we play but right now at this time of the season with how we are set up Pulis is the best chance we have of stopping up (that hurt to say). If we finish 15th or lower then that for me is reason enough to get rid of him and get a manager in who can get the best out of the good players we have. I want Pulis out more than anything but you have to look at the damage that will be created if it isnt done right.

at the end of the season hopefully we finish low enough for PULIS OUT!!!

I think lokking at the table 33-35 points will be the bubble for the likes of Villa/Wigan....... I think even Kemp doing the same **** would be able to get us 3- 6 points out of the remainder of the season - so I dont fear relegation. Vut you are right Ricc I wouldnt make a change, but come the Summer everyone forgets and then........GROUNDHOG DAY!

I never forget mate and have said it for the past 2-3 seasons, I wont be going to another game until he has gone. The fans need to make themselves heard by not turning up. If there are attendances of 10,000 or less people will take notice.

I`m with you on this ricc. Whether Coates is making money or not is irrelevant,as long as he`s pumping money back into the club, and nobody can deny that he is. I also agree that it`s too late in the season to sack Pulis , unfortunately. We`re stuck with him I`m afraid. We`d really be in the s--t if the Coates family left, and I think it`s ludicrous to want that. I`ll no doubt get some `flak` for saying that. I just hope Coates gets as bored watching the tripe we are playing as we are!
