Did it annoy anyone else today? We were asked to back the team, which I believe the Leazes Corner did, but having just watched the match again, it started off well, but after that it was just dull, the place should be bouncing, you can hear distant Newcastle singing(LC) but not the stuff close to the pitch(Gallowgate/Lower Leazes).

A win was a must and a win we got, we got a very good performance from the lads, I just feel the players deserved a little more effort from the stands.

    Just my opinion.

Maybe this move down to level 4 might be a good thing. Get those closer to the pitch involved!!!

I agree other than the Leazes (where I am) it's as dead as Stamford Bridge everywhere else. Some of my mates in the Gallowgate say they sing down there but they clearly don't. In my opinion the whole stadium should be standing, shouting, singing, clapping, chanting and go through all the emotions during the whole match. None of this sitting down calmly watching the game with the odd cheer when we score should be allowed. Those people are a disgrace. This really annoys me.

It's easier to say when you're in a section famous for singing, but how enthusiastic would you be about trying to start songs/get chants going if every time you did, people just look at you, don't join in and continue sipping their cups of tea...

No offense, but from where I sit in the East there wasn't a lot of noise coming from you lot, and Gallowgate sounded quite noisy, I seem to even remember hearing a '3-1, and you still don't sing' from the Wolves fans with little reply.

Regardless, it goes with the territory. I used to sit (stand) 4 rows from the back in the old Leazes L7 before you got moved to the corner and sang through every game, which is miles easier if you're stood up all game, right next to the away fans, and not having the best view of whats actually going on. If everyones singing its easy for you to. Try starting a chant sat front row second tier in the East Stand!

That's one of the problems these days, a lot of the people that go to the game go because they think it's the thing to do, not because of their love for football.

That's what I'm getting at, those people who just won't join in, who just sit drinking tea. I don't understand it, why don't they just sit and watch the match at home. I think the atmosphere is a massive part of the match day experience and those people spoil it for people like yourself.

Our home support should be like our away support, the away games I've been to have been immense. 5,000 + of us all out signing the home fans. There should be 50,000 + of us all signing throughout the game and that alone would win us some games. Imagine playing with that sort of support behind you and imagine playing against that support.

Well I generally don't give a flying fig if people don't join in, but I'm not a regular due to Uni and I can remember how draining it was when I had a ST so definitely agree with this.
Also not trying to excuse it, but the atmosphere sounded alright (not amazing, but it definitely wasn't that bad either) on the radio yesterday, maybe the tv used too much gating and sidechain compression for the commentators' voices?
Not had a chance to watch highlights mind and this is all speculation because of that like 

Don't think we get 5,000 tickets for away games.

Was a bit surprised that we could hear the Wolves fans singing that 3-1, but it was heard clearly in the GG end.

This lot don't look as if they're making that much noise!

We did for Wigan. I have only been there West Brom and Boro so I was using Wigan as the example. Do you know what the allocation is for Liverpool, I've bought my ticket but im wondering how many we are taking.
