For those at the game, what did you think of the new 'singing section' in the gallowgate east corner?

Was VERY frustrated that was told to sit down about 2 minutes into the game, then moved slightly so the guy behind could see before the ****ing stewards moved in to seat the remainder of people.

Despite the fact that we were mostly sat down (apart from the back few rows) I think we made a hell of a racket at some points in the game but there was always a section infront of us that refused to back the team at all. And then for them to complain about us making noise and telling us to go back to the leazes? Not happy.

Also, pissed off to see the empty seats in the Leazes, why the **** were we moved when there was so many empty seats? Atmosphere still looked decent at times up there though.

Atmosphere was pretty **** in the leazes end to be honest

so where was the demand for the extra family seats that Ashley lauded about the reason for shifting level 7 singing section
there was empty seats all over the family section

And that's opening day/Arsenal... imagine how it will be for Wolves/Blackburn etc

I was pretty disappointed with the lack of standing.

Could anyone over in the Leazes here us all right? Got to know if the away fans can hear us. :)

Atmosphere was worse today I thought, the Gallowgate didn't sing as much as usual as it was waiting for the singing section to sing, then they were also a lot quieter than usual.

I'm in the east stand just left of centre, I know the singing section from the Leazes have always said it was quiet at our end, but there was always plenty noise from the back corner of our stand towards the Gallowgate. I could hear the away supporters today which surprised me as it was Arsenal, but if you hear them assume they can hear you. I did hear the announcement after half time saying people were not allowed to stand, swear or smoke, but if I was in the corner I would want to stand as viewing may not be restricted but it is slightly disadvantaged.
I think the singing section will think the atmosphere not so great, but hopefully the noise will increase, the guys in front of me were singing today they always used to and it sort of died off, they were on good form today though. :emoticon-0142-happy

That's cause we were made to sit down by the old folks and health&safety brigade! Hard to make an atmosphere when you get kicked out for standing (which at least 3 or 4 people did)

I'm sorry but the club are practically killing the atmosphere.

The only positive thats came out of it is we can intimidate and encourage players more since we're down by the pitch.

I understand there were people there before the Leazes brigade came over but the miserable bastards that yank people down for standing up, even for a few seconds, get on my nerves.

You heard them, they made noise, I only heard them when they were having a pop at Wenger towards the end.

I hate fans that WANT to sit down, simple.

Ana the guy was canny old, but he looked perfectly fit and healthy and I may be being a bit selfish, but I'm not ****ing sitting down on the 28th. If he doesn't like it, surely he can move to a lower down place. Surely he knew this would happen when we all moved down? Hate those miserable ****s infront of us as well.
