How many fans would move from the middle of the East Stand to the North stand to create a better atmosphere? Our away following is always vocal even if there are only 1000 or so!!
Assuming that AP gets his wish and we move the away fans to the NW corner, then I assume some sort of incentive will be offered to get new people into the North Stand. Some of E1 to E3 may want to move, to remain next to the away fans, but I suspect he'll need more of an incentive than that to fill it.
Me and my mates are easr stand half way line and would not move. Think the E1 and E2 section would give it a good think. They may be able to stand up as well.
No disrespect to the fans in the South or West stand but they're always quiet and the East Stand appear to be competing against each other and almost always out of sync. Would love to hear a few thousand in unison at home games. I'm in E4 and usually join in both at the same time!!
I'm in E4 and he's not getting me to move unless he offers an incentive that makes it worth my while. I don't actually agree that behind the goal is a 'prime viewing location' I much prefer it where I am!
BL totally agree with your sentiments ( and any others in the East stand). If you are happy where you are, then, the club, or the SMC, must make your move to another part of the ground a "Happy Event" for you
6.000 in the East Stand singing and gesturing to the prima dona from QPR was pure brilliance. I'm still laughing!!
Not a f*****g chance of that!! andy ask bird "are you dancing?" busty bird say "are you asking" his reply is "cause if you are i'll use your seat, cause these new winkle-pickers are really pinching"
Tbh i sit in the west stand currently, and if it means that i get away from the people who constantly moan. I don't see the atmosphere as the problem in the west stand, its the constant abuse and shouting players get from around us. Even worse when its at the Ref for a decision that was so blatantly correct even i have to admit it. They moan at Nigel for every decision, there the type who applaud Garcia going off as they just glad he gone. So if tickets are cheap in there i don't see why i shouldn't move there!
I don't have a season ticket cause i can't make it to enough games to warrant the money (i'm a student...) so i end up sitting all over the place. Last couple of seasons it was always the north stand, been in the east recently, and will be in the south stand tomorrow. The atmostphere has been best when i've been in the east tbh!
