So say the BBC news column.
Why bother plotting, any offer over 10 quid and we'd knock them over in the rush and throw in the taxi fare.

The Bloke would probably miss the taxi though, assisted passage would be the safest.

Everybody is probably thinking it but surely if they want him we can arrange a deal to take Costa. 32m on his own or 50m if they take Torres too.

Looking at Torres's wages you'd probably have to give him away for free, if he wants to be on the same money. As you can't expect Atletico to pay a fee for him and still have to pay him 250k a week. Getting rid of him for nothing really isn't the worst deal in the world for Chelsea, as you'll be getting a 250k a week parasite off your books. You may have paid 50 million for him, but sometimes you just gotta accept that he was a big mistake and cut your losses

Your are close to the mark Shergar. He couldn't be worth more than 10 mill now to anyone else surely??? At 250 Gs a week, that's only 10 months pay. By the way when they say player x is on 250 a week, is that EVERY week or just every week in the season??? We couldn't be silly enough to pay Torres 12 mill a year could we ???? It's not much if you say it quickly !!
You could build 2 Childrens hospitals for that, build 50 houses for the poor ,or pay my wives Amex bill for 6 months !!!!

Because he sells millions of shirts a year, believe it or not, and got the Chelsea brand into emerging markets. **** on the field though

I can see he'd be worth shirt sales in Spain, and he might even find some goals there too, it being less physical than PL. Not that he's a whimp, he gives everything.
I can assure you in Asia, wherever you go you see thousands of little Lampards, still quite a few Drogbas, but not many Torres'.

'Emerging markets' refer to Brazil, US, India rather than the established south-east Asian markets.

When we signed Torres he was third biggest shirt seller in world, behind Ron and Mess due to his pretty boy blonde looks. Even after two and a half **** seasons he was still no 5 seller in the Prem
