Last time out both these teams won. At present, Athletic are 7th, Las Palmas 16th in La Liga. Players to look out for are Aduriz, Munian and Inaki Williams of Bilbao. Bilbao are currently in good form. Why not sit back and enjoy a good match later today.

I've been to Bilbao a couple of times. It seems okay I guess.

The P&O ferry named for the place was good though, the Pride of Bilbao.

I never went on that one but did experience the big Prides going ot Le Harve. They were very luxurious.

Final result 2-2! Disappointing for the Pais Vasco team but delight for Las Palmas in their fight against relegation. For those interested the Athletic goalscorers were Aduriz and a guy called Inaki Williams who has been around for 12 months now and looks as if he could become a real superstar over the next 10 years. I hope Del Bosque is brave enough to ditch Costa introduce Williams for the Euros in France.

I'd been on a lot of Prides, but none recently apart from the Pride of Hampshire, and Pride of... Kent I think it was. Was on a trip to Calais. I believe they have three ships running the route at the moment. The Pride of Hampshire, the Pride of (probably) Kent which is a mirror image of the Pride of Hampshire and a recent, much larger one. We were meant to go on that one but due to delays or something, we went on the Kent (or whatever it was). Which is a shame, it would have been nice to go on a more interesting ship. Pride of Hampshire isn't great, but then the Dover to Calais route is only about an hour, if that, so luxury isn't really essential. Then again, you need some kind of comparative advantage over Le Shuttle.
