And relegation battle it certainly is, or rather, will be!

Shocking performance today, on top of our recent run of results, (Barnsley away 2nd half excluded)

I now find myself looking at the forthcoming fixtures of the teams below us, rather than the teams immediately above us, Brum away followed by Blackpool, Leeds, and West Ham, I'm struggling to see where we'll pick up points over the next few weeks

Forest have got some tough matches coming up against Southampton, West Ham and Burnley, but I could see us being in the bottom three by the first week of February if things don't change dramatically at PR!

    (Which I doubt they will)

49 goals conceded is relegation form, simple as. And not only are we facing the grim possibility of the drop, but my biggest fear is that if the worst should happen, unless that clown Clegg goes, we'll languish in the third tier indefinitely.
This January transfer window is surely PJ's last throw of the dice, and I hope he makes it count.
The way things are going right now, I'd settle for our current league position come the end of the season. This has to be the worst time I've known as a Town fan of over 30 years.

Shifty - as someone who took a huge amount of pleasure in reading 'The Men Who Made The Town' from cover to cover, this is unquestionably the worst few years in Town's entire 133 year history - and this is now the worst few months in those few years. Jewell's record is incredibly worse than Roy Keane's.

After watching yesterdays match, I think the 2 guys you definitley need to hold on this transfer window are chopra and Edwards, edwards in particular IMO was your best player yesterday!+

That is exactly the issue isn't it; Jewell has come in & is doing just as bad if not worse than Keane.

So many similarities it is uncanny, selling bright young stars, buying crap players, bad tactics, poor decision making etc. etc.

Yesterday was a complete joke, Scotland left out comes off the bench & is MOM, Ellington picked ahead of Chops & Scots, Hyam in a flat 4 midfield, Martin left out, Delaney in a Town shirt, Ingamarson released, Hull score 1st goal + 2 for 5 games, the list could go on regarding our complete incompetence right now.

Teams will be relishing the prospect of playing us over the 2nd half of the season, not only will they be picking up 3 points they will also be looking to boost their goal difference.
We will need to at least double our points tally thus far to survive this season, that looks almost impossible at this time.

Jewell must surely be gone before the weekend, to give his replacement any chance of pulling off "Mission Impossible" & keep us up..!

    Hornet in peace.

While you've made some terrible acquisitions (particularly Ellington, although in fairness you got him for £3.25m less than we did), I think all of the teams below you are in worse shape.

Coventry are done for, and Donny without Billy Sharp are a relegated team however big the names of his replacements.

Forest and Millwall's strongest teams can't hold a candle up to Ipswich's in my opinion. On top of that, both fanbases have a reputation for piling more pressure than most when things aren't going well. I'd be surprised if both of them overhaul you.

Lost home and away to Forest, lost away to Millwall, shipping 10 goals in the process...

Thank you for your input chippy, we need a new manager cos we have all been asking for a new defence since last summer, Jewell is incapable of providing one hence we need a manager who will. Now go away.
