There was no way England were going to win that match today. They've been getting steadily worse as the comp progressed. Scotland put a fair few points past them in the first match,no tries v Italy or Ireland and not that good against France. England will NEVER learn the penalty rules, they give away big games nearly all the time because of penalties. England's wins early on were not convincing enough and Wales had the momentum. England have a lot of work to do,starting in the classroom learning about penalties.

The ref could perhaps have done better in some situations and overall, officiating at the scrum is still poor. We (England) utterly failed to turn up and Wales emphatically did on the night. They were better all across the board and the loss has put me in a properly bad mood. Thankfully I don't have to see any Welsh people for a while though. The Irish getting the wooden spoon due to France winning tonight and then a good Spurs win tomorrow would go a very long way to correcting my mood though!

  4. The scrum situation was weird - like England were playing to a totally different set of rules to the Welsh - and clearly the ref!! Having said that, we were so much off the pace in the 2nd half it was almost embarrassing.

The day started so well with Everton beating Citeh. After that it was all down hill.......

I am with CJ on this and the Fulham match thread: a win tomorrow is almost essential now, as anything less will start the alarm bells ringing for our ability to manage the pressure.

Pathetic performance by England. Capitulation is unforgivable.

We only beat Italy by 6 points or so so it was downhill all the way. We should not have let Scotland score 21 points or something like that,I knew then that things weren't right. Oh well, better luck next year. We play Ireland and Wales at home and Scotland,France and Italy away so the grand slam is ours.

Gotta laugh at France getting the wooden spoon.

Having a Welsh mother, on the other hand, makes today a pain. It's bad enough she's been a plastic Swan recently...

Looks like it's been a disastrous weekend CJ!

I didn't see much of the Swansea game but I had/ have a feeling that they'll do what we done after the lifting the cup and just falter in the league now.

I was gutted with the way England capitulated, I didn't expect us to beat the Welsh on their turf in all honesty but the manner of defeat was shocking.

Today topped it off... Poor result and performance from the players, including our Welsh wizard!!!

    Bloody Welsh <grr>
