http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leicester-boss-nigel-pearson-told-2082622? Time for some lads (and their agents) to realise the gravy train has hit the buffers, remember boys you are failures..
Not sure how much credence I give stories like this - lazy journalism given that we had the 'less than magnificent 7' identified much earlier ... Gally needs to be shifted, St Ledger too for me - easiest way is just to pay up their contracts or at least offer them a part payment deal which would allow them to move on straight away (so more than compensated for a 'settlement' element) with the prospect of actually playing some first team football to boot. Neil Danns - not his fault he's on silly money - so's Nugent - I'd hope he's willing to show that he's prepared to give 100% to 'earn it' because I feel he is what we are actually lacking in our midfield.
The story is a waste of time. We already knew this Jermaine Beckford and Richie Wellens have gone The club will probably try and pay off Paul Gallagher. Sean St. Ledger and Neil Danns will probably be available on free transfers. Then theres people like Paul Konchesky, Danny Drinkwater, Martyn Waghorn, Marko Futacs, Zak Whitbread and Jamie Vardy who are all available should anyone want them.
'Time for some lads (and their agents) to realise the gravy train has hit the buffers, remember boys you are failures.. .' Are you ever cheerful or positive in anything you say?? I think this has little to do with money troubles and FFP, to be honest its about getting rid of guys who are overpaid (nothing to do with pearson), or just not in our plans. Wellens and beckford would have never played so good riddance, likewise gallagher, not sure about danns, if his attitude is right he could be a key player, but nigels fellout with him and there may be no way back. There are various fringe players that if a decent offer comes in we would accept, same goes for almost every other team in the league. People are making out as if we need to sell half the squad to make ends meet meet, which isnt true, we are just doing the obvious thing in getting rid of deadwood, overpaid players and ones who are dispensible. the proof of this is rejecting bids for kasper and wes. If we were really hard up we would have sold them got 2-3m in and replaced them with loans or frees. But we said they are not for sale because they are key. Wes, kasper, kingy, knockaert, james, de laet, wood, nugent are all guys who we wouldnt sell unless it was stupid money. Nigel knows who and what he wants and will continue to do what he has done since arriving here: getting rid of prima donnas and stupid wages and signing good honest young(ish) players. Dont forget, we have a good side which were a penalty away from wembley, we need to keep this side and maybe add one or two but we dont need a huge overhaul unlike other sides. I would much rather sign no one and keep our team together who are familar with each other and hungry, than sign loads of players who have to gel and might end up costing us more money. for the 1st time since we won league 1 we have stability, and not a new squad of players, which i think will be a huge positive. We are understated this year everyones looking at QPR, Reading, Leeds etc, we havent signed loads of names, we have in my opinuion done great business in getting zoom best LB in league 1 should step up well, lets be optimistic and look forward to the new season.
Drinkwater, Whitbread, Vardy and Futacs are NP signings so won't be on ****loads - aside from a rumour months ago that 7 players are on the transfer list, there have been no rumours around this lot so I'd get used to them staying. Konchesky is staying as he is the first choice LB has a year remaining so will most likely be let go at the end of the season or offered much reduced terms on a contract extension - most liekly will sign it as he needs to pay off the hair transplant of his. Gallagher, SSL and Danns are definitely leaving if we can find a buyer or will be released if not. Waghorn - dunno about him, apparently he has sorted himself out and is regaining his first season form but I personally don't mind either way if he stays or goes given our lack of wingers.
look at my post above. I think you are completely missing the point. If everyone was up for sale, we wopuld have sold wes and kasper.Look at leeds- when a decentish or rubbish offer came in for their players they simply had to sell them, not us, we are getting rid of the ****e and the overpaid, not the key players.
Wood wont leave. Firmly in Nigels plans No first teamer is for sale. Obviously it doesnt mean no one will leave but it will take a big bid to get one of them
I know its nothing to do with money trouble.. it is FFP rules, but it will mean silly inflated wages for average players is a thing of the past, some of these big ego's need to get it
Unless Nigel remembers to get us to play pre-wood, it makes not difference to me if he goes. His presence in the team led Nigel to change our style of play and makes us one directional and ineffective going forward.
for woods first 6-or-so games he and the team was unstoppable. The reason i said i think he could go is that he is on big wages, probably wanted by someone if available and i get the impression NPs and Woods relationship isnt great.
Put it this way. David Nugent is on 30K a week His contract is up in 12 months. We cant offer him nothing like that again. No one in the prem will be interested as Nugent cant cut it in the prem. But even with FFP we can offer him more then any other championship club I think the club will be prepared to go the extra mile for people like Wood, Nugent, King, James, Knockaert, Morgan and Schmeichel
Worrying? Explain? Id be worried if we had accepted the bids for Schmeichel and Wes Morgan around 5million in total
... have you got this post on 'speed-dial' or something? - or are you just a shy boy that needs to have an excuse to come and talk to us? ... from a footballing perspective, if I were you I'd be more concerned about the potency of a strike force containing Danny Graham and a bloke who worked for a French bottled water company - that's if you've actually signed 'Pepe de l'eau Minérale' or whatever he's called yet... appeared to be some hold up?
Not looking good for you in life if you can't spell you thick twat! Look forward to you washing my car
No point arguing with another hull idiot, he will drag down to his level and beat you on experience...
