Wes Brown, been seen and done it.. None of ths pleading for time ****e We need to gel malarchy I'm happy with a point bollocks.. Well said Wes, and your proving me wrong with your signing.. WES BROWN admits Sunderlandâs new-look side cannot plead for extra time to find the right formula. The Black Cats have struggled with teething problems over the opening exchanges of the campaign, with just two points separating Steve Bruceâs side from the drop zone ahead of Saturdayâs clash with basement boys Wigan. Despite bringing in 11 players during the summer, Sunderland have won just twice and failed to find a way past fellow strugglers Fulham at the Stadium of Light last weekend. Centre-half Brown insists Sunderlandâs fresh-faced side deserved some leeway after such a radical overhaul, but believes Bruceâs men should be gelling with a quarter of the campaign gone. Brown, a £1million acquisition from Manchester United, said: âWhen a lot of new players come in, it does take a while for them to settle in and to gel. âBut, as far as Iâm concerned, weâre through that time now. âWeâve had enough time together now to know how each other play and to get used to how different individuals want the ball. âThat understanding is there and it is now just a case of putting it all together. At times, weâve put it together and played really, really well. But at other times we have been sloppy and itâs that sloppiness that we have got to get out of our game.â Last weekendâs stalemate with Fulham was earmarked as the start of Sunderlandâs renaissance, as the first of four games against sides languishing in the bottom half of the table. A point at least ensured Sunderland extended their unbeaten home run to four games, although Brown knows Bruceâs men need more as they prepare to face three of the bottom four. âWe lost our first two home games of the season, but since then weâre unbeaten in four at the Stadium of Light,â added the 32-year-old. âOK, three of those games have been draws and we know we need to win more matches at home. âBut itâs still a decent run of form at home and if we can win on Saturday against Wigan it will give us a big lift and push us up the table. âItâs all very well talking about it though, weâve still got to go and do it out on the pitch. âIf we pick up a decent points return from the next three, we will be OK but if we donât, it will be a different matter altogether. âWe have to make sure that we turn these games into points. âWe need to be confident, not panic and play to the best of our abilities. âI know we can do that because weâve done it at various times in games this season, but not for long enough.â
Captain? I'd make the bugger manager. He certainly speaks more sense than the useless ****er there now and offers no lame embarrassing excuses either. Well said our front runner for player of the season.
Yes well said, like the guy a lot. He should be captain, not Cattermole. He must find it hard to take orders from him too I imagine.
No need to be wummy, but I'm surprised no one else picked up on him claiming that the home form is good. 2 wins from 14 or 1 from 6 this season is hardly brilliant.
Lookslike Bruce and Brown learnt alot in all them years at ManU, they can pat each on the back after a draw against Wigan. Why dont bend over and drop your trousers so they can fcuk you some more
Wait a minute... You all want Bruce out because he has such low expectations for a club as big as yours, then you idolise Wes Brown for thinking that the current home form is not only satisfactory but "good"? Where's the logic?
I was referring to his play on the pitch mate not his skills as an orator. Now matter what he has said this season on a Saturday Brown has nothing short of superb.
You quote the word "good" but yet Wes Brown never used it - If you're going to quote someone at lease quote the correct word
Are you trying to imply that the words were twisted from decent to good, wouldn't do such a thing would he?
âWe lost our first two home games of the season, but since then weâre unbeaten in four at the Stadium of Light,â added the 32-year-old. âOK, three of those games have been draws and we know we need to win more matches at home. âBut itâs still a decent run of form at home and if we can win on Saturday against Wigan it will give us a big lift and push us up the table. So he is clearly saying that the fact we are unbeaten in 4 at home is decent but also recognises that 3 out of the 4 have been draws and that we need to turn more of them in to wins. Cant see how he is having low expectations here like, so i think you should read more carefully next time!!!
Actually the title of the thread was "at last someone talks sense", so no you weren't on about his perfomances, you were on about what he said
