What are everyone’s plans for a stay at home cup final?

I’m getting me flag up, me scarf on, and thinking of either pizza or making hot dogs on me camping stove to get the smell of a football ground. Me beer choice has yet to be decided and obviously me and me lads (23 and 19) are navigating their Mother’s Day duties, to keep the wife sweet.

What are everyone’s plans bearing Covid in mind?

Wake up in the middle of the night to find a dodgy stream.

Open the fridge repeeatedly without waiting the missus, try to remember that microwaves go ding when they finish and that it's not appreciated at 3 in the morning

We have a little WhatsApp group for all the matches and will have a pre-match Zoom to open cans, make mad predictions and talk about previous Wembley visits.

Why not, football is supposed to be for fun and, by Christ, we deserve some ...

... I'll be making the most of the day, Sunderland at Wembley, Haway!!!

My eldest does a zoom call with his mates before matches but he gets told to turn it off (and all notifications) as it appears Hebburn (where his mates live) are 5 secs ahead of South Shields in the space time continuum!

Get the Mothers Day duties out the way early doors. Quick Zoom call with my Mum, then get the kids to do breakfast/presents for the missus
Whatsapp group chat will start early with any negative, or overly optimistic views called out immediately as "mags"
Few beers in 2nd half assuming all goes to plan, with the usual reverse psychology chat on Whatsapp where we all agree that Tranmere will absolutely score a last min winner etc etc

Not that far removed from every match. The chat between us all for the penalty shoot out v Lincoln was a disgrace:emoticon-0140-rofl:

Flipping mothers day. Luckily covid stops all trips out and about so we should be in a safe place by half 2. The mrs gets an extra gift to keep her sweet when the footy starts.

Will get a piece of wood from somewhere and go out onto the street to play Japps and Brits... And raise a smile to my late father who's watching it on the box without any disruptions..

We are making pizzas and eating them on the terrace during the game, that's if the weather is good, it's been pissing down for 2 weeks nearly non stop.

Making 2 types of pizza, Margherita and a Cheese feast type. Got some lovely Stilton left over from Christmas for the cheese pizza to go with Cheddar and Red Leicester.

I'll not be drinking cos I've got to drive home after the fun but it should be a canny day. Football and real pizza, what's not to like.

Hope you all enjoy the day the best you can within the restrictions.

My Mam's in a Care Home, and they have confirmed that I will be allowed to visit once a week at 11am on Saturday. So, I'll do all of my Mother's Day stuff then.

My wife knows that she'll be pampered on the morning, then banished to the garden for the afternoon, which is great news because she's always pulling me up when 'I go off on one' when a decision doesn't go our way. Me and my youngest daughter will be settling down to watch the match with a few slurps and some pizza.

I don't have to worry about my eldest daughter interrupting, because her and her fiance will both be glued to the match in their house. Happy Days!
