Astounding win over Chelsea could land us new signings, says QPR boss By Yann TearJan 2 2013 Add a commentinShare.0 Share on emailShare on print Harry RedknappQPR'S sensational and unexpected win at Chelsea came too late to persuade Joe Cole to join his old boss in a relegation fight â but might persuade others to hop on board, according to Harry Redknapp. The Rangers boss, who told assistant Joe Jordan after the game that he 'couldn't remember having many better wins than this one,' also said he hoped the result would prove a turning point. âIt's the first away win, I think, since October 2011, so let's hope we can build on that,â Redknapp said. âThere's still a long way to go, but it was encouraging. âIt's very important to prove that to players. I missed out on my first signing today. I like Joe [Cole] and he would have been good for me, but he probably thought 'I love you Harry, but I don't think you're going to stay up.' âNow, maybe people will think 'hang on, they have got a chance. It maybe would be nice to go there to get them out of the mess they're in and achieve something rather than go to a middle of the road club and finish half way. Let's be up for the challenge.' Redknapp added; âI didn't go home after the game against Liverpool [on Sunday] thinking we're doomed. I felt we can turn it around and if we can improve the squad a bit in the window, we'll have a chance.. âWe've given ourselves a chance. It's all we've done tonight. But other teams, even those with 20 points, the'll go 'oh my god, that's not very good tonight.' I've been there. That will send a few shocks through everybody. We've got to make the most of that. âThe atmosphere in the dressing room afterwards was fantastic. We've got to build on that now.â Read More http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/london-qpr/2013/01/02/82029-32536551/#ixzz2GrpxYsYD
We still have a lot of tough fixtures ahead of us but we must believe we can get something against Spurs and West Ham
Firstly if want to survive we need to buy STRIKERS! Afterall we didn'nt have one yesterday either.......
Harry is laying it on thick about 'come to QPR to help save us from relegation'. It is fair enough as an angle but just wondering what sort of person / player that will attract. In Harry we trust!
