Off Topic Aston Villa appoint Steve Bruce

Villa look lost and Bruce has grabbed the reins of a big club.

Possibly the biggest of his career so far?

Bruce has managed almost 800 games as a Manager and has plenty of experience.

He'll do well no doubt (fire).

 

I think at best he can hope to get them to the playoffs. Too much ground has been lost.

 

Oh, I was thinking more along the lines of keeping the yam-yam's in the division!

Or are Birmingham City the yam-yam's?

I can't recall.

Almost as if neither are important enough to remember...

 

Strange choice by Bruce, given he was the only other candidate that we know was interviewed for the England job along with Allardyce. He must have been told 'Cheers Steve but you have no chance of getting this job pal, don't apply again'.

 

I'm surprised by the timing also.

I thought he would have hung-on until the England scenario was sorted.

Really can't see Gareth Southgate keeping the position long.

Especially once Scotland beat us!
