Aston Villa with a new manager could throttle us again. Lets face it, we've been bloody awful with all kinds of teams last month or so, and this is not the "turn around " game we need. I think we'll be really lucky not to get hammered in this game. My best shot 2-2. I have lost faith in too many players who have not stepped up. Looking for a draw at best
Much better display than I thought. Lukaku looks like he's woken up and Mount back to his best. Credit to the manager who's got us off the floor and back in business. Time however for Christian Pulisic to go to a Championship team cause he's not PL class.
Good performance, especially in the second half. Pulisic does have more to offer but he’s hopeless as a false 9 as we don’t play to his strengths. Thought he had a much better second half when he played wide but Lukaku absolutely transformed the game, they didn’t get anywhere near him. Was an important win as we’ve got City and Liverpool in the next few but we look an awful lot better with a bit of pace in central midfield.
Think Gareth was on the mark in another post recently, that a return of injured midfielders will go a long way to easing the load on defenders, plus liven up the attack. If Lukaku can maintain that type of performance as well, then we will be in a much better place.
I think we've responded really well since the Everton game. Crucial to take at least 4 points from the two home games this week.
