Neither club is yet sure of being safe from the drop, although Villa are four points clear of 18th-placed Leicester, while Hull only escape the bottom three on goal difference. And Villans boss Tim Sherwood will be hoping the Tigers continue to struggle as, according to the Daily Mirror, it will boost his chances of making Livermore one of his summer signings should Steve Bruce’s side wind up in the Championship next term. Sherwood knows the 25-year-old midfielder from his time at Tottenham, where he saw Livermore progress through the ranks and is believed to be keen to link up with him again. The Villa boss, who last week guided his side to the FA Cup final, is also determined to make Tom Cleverley’s stay in the West Midlands permanent when his loan deal expires at the end of the season. http://metro.co.uk/2015/04/24/aston...e-transfer-if-hull-suffer-relegation-5164599/
Even if we do stay up, i'm not sure i'd be that concerned if they came in for him in the summer. If we do go down, I think that compared to last time we will go down with many more players that will interest other clubs, fully expect a fire sale
Centre midfield - without Diame as we have been all season - is along with goalkeeper our weakest spot. If we could sell Jake and Tom for £10m combined I'd be delighted.
I wouldn't say underrated because that implies he's having a better season than the fans think, which I wouldn't say he is. But I do think he's the best purchase out of the midfield. He's 25 so could still get better. The only thing I would say is that he lacks in composure/quality in passing and shooting. Works hard, runs hard, decent defending, and will score every now and then but his first touch is often poor and he tends to just rush things a little too much. He's underrated in the sense that there's probably more to come from him but not this season. He'd make a brilliant Championship midfielder though.
I think Jakes underrated, he's brilliant at breaking up play and he has a bit of quality on the ball. He's just a bit quiet and seems to lack confidence going forward.
Yeh confidence is probably the issue at the moment. He's miles ahead of Thudd and Meyler in my pecking order
HULL CITY TO TARGET JACK GREALISH IF ASTON VILLA ARE RELEGATED. Silly season in full swing. West Ham will offer £7m for Little Pea this summer reports suggest. Yeah right.
