Yes he looked very tidy didn’t he in all fairness. But he is the F2 champion right? May it also suggest that it’s a very compliant car? Who knows- first reveal of true pace starts on Friday. Still need to see some cars over a handful of different circuits though, Bahrain is occasionally an outlier for midfield order, albeit the title contenders will usually show up at the front.
I am surprised that Lance hasn't been confirmed or replaced for at least the first race! Can't really see why they would keep the identity of their driver for the first race a secret unless it's touch and go for Lance to see at last min if he's fit to drive? Alonso saying that they missed Lance in testing as he doesn't know if certain things on the car are Aston traits or due to the new car as no reference to last years car.
I think it's daddy boy syndrome. if he's got two broken wrists then there's no way he is racing for weeks.
Reminds me of a Watford game years ago The club decided that when a regular player was not included for a minor injury they would tell the fans to prevent rumours about bust ups etc A midfielder was absent from the team for a home game and the announcer said he was missing due to a sprained wrist and a groin strain, the crowd were still laughing at kick off and that update was never repeated

Sounds like Aston were happy to let the press blow the wrist injuries way out of proportion and it was only 1 wrist and a small operation sorted it for Lance! Much as I'm not keen on Lance it will be better for him to be in the car than be able to use the excuse that Alonso has even more time in the car to be faster than him! I do hope Alonso really thrashes him, especially in quali.
I think Strololol's going to get absolutely rinsed, Alonso isn't the former champion that Vettel, he's hungry.
I don't get this. if you've had an operation on a wrist and you claim its all exaggerated..but you've had an operation.... why do you know you can drive an f1 car with the loads involved even either powper sterring for 2 hours on Sunday and an hour each practice etc. you have to be lightening on the wheel. it doesn't make sense.
Hard to say without knowing what the injury was, could've chipped a bone and had it cleaned out, gashed it and had stitches.
Aston have been very quiet about what actually happened and when it happened. Which ever media outlet first published he had broken both wrists could have been completely wrong. It could have happened early January and had the op very soon after. To me though, I'm sure he and the team would have wanted him at the test as a bench mark and to comment this years cars against last. So it does seem a bit weird that he can't even drive for a half day testing but can do a complete weekend less than a week later! I know the sims are very good so maybe it's just a case that he says he is OK and all the data in the sim suggests he is fit enough. It will be interesting to see what happens and if he makes the entire weekend.
I hope that the doctor steps in at the last minuite and bans him from the entire weekend on safely grounds. He will be no better than middle of the pack in quali and needs all the quick reactions necessary in that place on the steering wheel if only because of danger to other drivers.Alonso and Drugovich prooved themselves well in testing, why risk Stroll? Daddy tell them I want to drive is all that this is.
Aston Martin will partner with Honda from 2026 for PU supply- Martin Whitmarsh calling it a works status. Honda not supplying any other teams “for now”.
Much as I can’t abide Lawrence Stroll , not that my opinion matters one bit ,he is certainly showing how serious he is . A team that’s definitely on the UP with new factory etc .
