The Chairboys will be looking to play much better tomorrow (Saturday) when they entertain the Spireites, after the disappointing performance against the 10 man Grecians on New Years Day, I believe the lads had spent a quiet New Years Eve sipping apple juice kindly supplied for them by the west country team so not a hangover in sight. The Chairboys squad is strengthened with the welcome return of Dunne, Winfield, Morgan, Scowen and the capture of Harriman. I will be at Adams Park for what will be a difficult game I am expecting at least a draw and Deano to score against his old employers. http://www.wycombe.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=304320
looking forward to the game, lets hope we can get things back on track after a few poor performances after tuesday i think morgan should come into the team for kuffour, it was another poor performance from him and deano is crucial when fit and bothered. if scowen can return it would be good but perhaps its best not to rush him back. gaz has hinted the new loanee will be playing, possibly instead of spring who was quite poor on tuesday as well COYB!!!
This will be a hard game and as long as the teams below us lose and we get a draw i'll be happy.I admit i was wrong about Kuffor who i thought would be a good signing but we can't just get rid can we?
fantastic second half, dont know what gaz said at half tiem but we looked a different side. i wont do ratings because the whole team was excellent but special praise should go to wood scowen and lewis for battling and putting in 110% in both halfs, especially wood and scowen who seemed to be everywhere the box was. as for jo kuffour at half time i thought we'd never see him again. in the second half he came out a different player, linked up well with morgan and won us the game spectacularly MOTM must be gaz for his half time team talk, we were a different team with a different work ethic in the second half roll on wimbledon!
Another pleasing aspect I noticed was Grant chasing back 70 yards to thwart a Chesterfield break. Never heard that under Waddock. I just can't praise Gareth Ainsworth enough. I always thought he was the right man for the job but he has even exceeded my expectations.
Pleased went on Tuesday and didn't think we were that bad given earlier the season but today's result was great and only 19 points and we will be safe ie just six wins and a draw. Can't be bad!!!!
I didn't but i'm very happy to say i was wrong and under Ainsworth we will not go down, that's surely what would have happened if we'd kept the idiot Waddock.
66/1 for promotion with Bet Victor. 57/10 for a top 7 finish. Doesn't seem any point in taking 57/10 for a top 7 finish. If you fancy a top 7 finish it would be better value to take the 66/1 for promotion then, if they reach the top 7, the odds for promotion would probably be no more than 20/1 at which point you would lay them off ensuring a profit of 46 points if they got promoted and costing nothing if they didn't. Or you could juggle the lay bet so as to make a profit whatever happened. Ah. Just the minor problem of having to finish in the top 7.
First half we were poor how on earth we went in level at half time beats me but for some great defending and goalkeeping we should have been 3 or 4 down but got back level on the stroke of half time then a different team came out in the second half with the same names and faces and put in a great performance lets hope we can do that for 90 mins next Saturday
