A good interview that he gave in Sweden. Seems like he has his head screwed on...

    http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/fotboll/internationell/england/article23426146.ab

Just over a month ago, he was just one of the crowd of Swedish youth professionals abroad.

Now Joel Asoro, 17, made his debut in the Premier League and are already being hunted by the big clubs like Bayern Munich and Paris SG

Mentally, I have begun to catch up with everything that's happened, but I stay in Sunderland - it is a good place for me to develop in, say Asoro.

The teenager, who turned 17 years in April, has since been featured in Sunderland's Premier League -trupper series since its inception, jumped in ten minutes at home against Middlesbrough and played the entire match in the League Cup against Shrewsbury.

Now we are standing and talking with each other at one of the greens outside Swedbank Stadion in Malmö before the Swedish U21 national team's first practice before the European Championship qualifying matches against Croatia and Spain and Asoro is charmingly youthful unspoiled by the rapid blockbuster.

He is not unknown in the Swedish national team after 14 goals in 21 internationals P17, but after this summer's developments Joel Asoro taken another giant leap, straight into the Under-21 squad.

    What are your ambitions now?

    - Hard to say. Right now it rolls smoothly. I'm with the troops, I get to play a part. I hope the little playing time in every game, said the striker, who feels unusually thoughtful and mature - to be 17 years.

With success has come forward with further details, that some of Europe's biggest clubs - Bayern Munich, Paris SG, Atletico Madrid and Inter - want to enlist the Swede who has Nigerian roots.

How do you do to avoid reading everything that is written about you, if big clubs want you, of what it would cost to recruit you?

    - You have to read a little! You can not keep away from it, ha ha.

    What do you want?

    - To get as much playing time as possible. I like to be in Sunderland. I must be honest. It's a good place for me to develop. I've been there a year and I have already reached the first team. It would be foolish if I left now. I'll take care of what I have said Asoro who lives by the English North Sea coast with his mother.

Do not you feel at all tempted to belong to a nice big club like Bayern Munich?

    - Not right now. In a few years maybe.

According to the site Foot Mercato valued Asoro to 10-15 million (equivalent to slightly more than SEK 100 million).

    - What should I say…? It makes a lot when you come into the Premier League, if only for a few minutes. As the value increases.

This lad seems very level headed. Have seen a couple of interviews where he seems to be saying all of the right things.

Although this type of interview normally pre=-empts a transfer request as PSG are apparently looking at him!!
