<peacedove>Every good thing comes to an end-Losing to Chelsea was a disappointing. Everton hosts Man City on Saturday
before Liverpool game on Monday. Everton are difficult to beat at home and can do Liverpool some favour by beating Man City.
    Tobes what is your opinion?.

He's already said it would be "the ultimate nightmare" for Arsenal to drop points today and Everton remain in the fight for top 4

Everton will want to win that game, they are still in with a shout and Martinez will want to try make good on his promise of CL football.

Regardless of what Tobes thinks, Everton will want to win this game for more reasons than one.

When Arsenal win tonight, CL football will be all but gone. So I'm sure it will be a game that Everton don't mind losing. Just like you guys let Chelsea win at Anfield a few seasons ago when we needed you guys to do us a favour, with Gerrard once again helping out Cheksea passing them the ball for a 1 on 1 with the keeper.

Everton will go into the game professionally, but there won't be much of a fight from them if things start to go against them

Lukaku and Barkley both celebrated the Chelsea win on Twitter. Shows they have no desire to help us.

Not what I said at all.

If Arsenal win tonight then our chances of top 4 are realistically finished.

If they get beat (which they won't) THEN we'd face the ultimate nightmare of having to win on Saturday which could hand you the title.

Irrespective of what the fans might think, the players are professionals and will be trying to win on Saturday and rightly so, as anything else would compromise the integrity of the league. However, if Arsenal do win tonight then I doubt there'll be many Blues who'd be arsed if we got beat on Saturday night.

Sorry mate but I find the whole 'do it for the 96' offensive tbh. It's an issue that transcends football and one that the City has been united on since the day the disaster happened. The colour of our shirts mattered not a jot, as we all stood together, as for the toss of a coin that could have been Blues not Reds that day, it was an issue that affected the City.

We'll get EL irrespective of the result vs City imo.

CL dies tonight if Arsenal win.

I'm sure the players will give their all anyway, but I'm not sure the atmosphere will be like it was against United or Arsenal though

You just don't get the local rivalry mate.

  16. Lukaku is fair enough since he's a Chelsea player but I didn't expect that from Barkley, especially after the way Gerrard spoke about him earlier in the season.

He's a born Blue ffs, of course he's going to react like that. What Gerrard said about him has no bearing on it, it's about local rivalry.

That's absolutely right, Tobes. It's what 'they' would want. I had a ticket for that match, but had flu.

Don't think a great or poor atmosphere will have any bearing on the game anyway tobes tbf, its about City's players ambition and Everton showing they are not a flash in the pan side and showing they have pride and commitment.

And I'll keep telling myself that until the fat lady sings(or not).<laugh>

Do you want Europa League Tobes?

The CL is very good for your club, as it would bring so much revenue to you guys so you could buy better players, but the Europa brings very little revenue and is likely to damage your league performances, as it has done with Spurs this season, and has done to countless other sides before them.

We are unlikely to get Europa, and I'm quite happy about that, as I know our title chances next season , will be a lot better without it
