Ashton Gate Rebuild – Fan Consultation..

    Building for the Future.
    Wed 23 July, 2014.

After months of planning, preparation and engineering work, demolition of the Wedlock stand is now under way. This will be followed by the start of work on the new South Stand.

So now it's time for the next consultation phase for the redesign of Ashton Gate stadium.

We'd love to hear your ideas for the internal fitting out of the new stands, particularly the new South Stand; the refurbished Dolman concourse; the museum; and exterior landscaped areas. (We'll hold a separate consultation phase for the new West Stand either later this year or next year).

What sort of imagery would you like to see inside the stadium? Should it reflect the history of the football club; the rugby club; Bristol in general? What sort of dedicated areas would you like to see in the new concourses? Should we include a family area for the sort of activities currently carried out in the community park? Where do we put the stage for live bands pre or post match? Are there any names from our history which you'd like to see enshrined in the redevelopment? Where would you like the proposed Atyeo statue to be located?

We currently have a few ideas of our own, but we're keen to throw this open to as many of our supporters as possible. You can view the latest images of the stadium below.

Please send any thoughts, designs, sketches etc. to [email protected]

We will then pull together all the ideas and concepts we receive and present them as work in progress at a meeting for all supporters in the Dolman Exhibition Hall on Thursday 4th September. This will give everyone another opportunity to go away and further refine their ideas. We aim to get designs and images largely finalised by the end of October, by which time the external frame of the new stand should start to become visible.

These are exciting times in the redevelopment of Ashton Gate and we look forward to continuing to work with you to produce a stadium that will make all of Bristol proud.

Wont see it for 3 years Wiz.
My mate, who works till 1-45pm on a Saturday, and I travel by car and had a car space in the Winterstoke car park.
We've been offered unsuitable parking because of less capacity in the Winterstoke (and not Wickes like previously when we were thrown out for Premier Seating) but one would you believe using a shuttle bus ffs.

Renewed our season tickets last May but have been refunded our £750-00.
    Small mercies.

Yeh, I know a few on here (and Wagstaff) will be chuffed.

Fortunately my car parking is unaffected (I park in the Midas) - because I travel a fair distance it's really important to me to have somewhere that I can definitely park.

When the phoned about renewal they said that some people we being moved from the main car park to mine (so had to re-new quickly)

I guess this is the price we pay for the stadium re-build?

This was the car park conversation with Redprintt..

City official "Good morning Redprintt, due to the works around the ground we need to move your car parking space"

    Redprintt " I don't believe it"

    City official "nah its true"

Bit confused. Went to the open day and the South Stand [Formerly EE] was going toi house a large sports bar or City pub. This appears to have disappeared. The museum?? And notice this is being run by BS not City?
