Now we have seen the proposals for the redevelopment of Ashton Gate, do we want to stay or still move?

If it was to happen tomorrow I would like to move to AV. New attractive ground the surroundings would be a lot better and its what we need. Seeing as its not tomorrow though I would stay at AG all this AV stuff is just going on too long and I don't think anyone knows whats going on. Just stay at AG and completely change every stand 1 by 1

bottom line if the new ground was happening dead cert then move, but all the crap about AV is ridiculous,If i had planning i would have gone on and started the ground.

Bottom line is stay at the gate,MORE THAN HAPPY,the ground looks well impressive.

AV preferably of the two options, but happy to stay at a revamped gate too..

Could easily have my opinion swayed by decent arguments for or against..

I think AV is plan A for a reason. When you look at things like the hotel, transport links, potential for further improvement it would be much easier to make money other than from football.

AG is a very good plan B, but long term the Atyeo can't get any bigger, and the Dolman has to stay within the current shell too.

The Dolman is shocking for access, especially leaving. that should be addressed!

It would stop many of the early leavers if you could get out reasonably quickly...

Does anyone think that the Ashton Gate plans are a way of forcing the Ashton Vale issue??

Possibly yes, because I guess that the residents next to the Gate will be horrified that we might be staying.

Ref point made much earlier about buying the houses in Ashton Road; this plan B does not give any clue whether that might be a possible move by SL. Nor is there any reference anywhere to the rumour that circulated last year about the former Braby site. So we must assume these are not within the vision or purchase capacity of SL.

A new Ashton Gate remodelled in a positive way would be the answer, if only in the short term. Only when the Ashton Vale project is fully planned and approved without any possibilty of the ne'er-do-wells would I suggest a complete move.

Perhaps Bristol Rugby could benefit with the interim use of Ashton Gate with a view to taking it over as their permanent home if and when we move out to Ahton Vale. A lot more options are available with this path unless it's used by dog owners.

I say stay at AG and sell AV to low cost income support housing along with a legal dogging site and a new Dale Farm and let the whining ****ers deal with that.

Or hold another Glastonbury festival there every three months

Put that option to them bet AV would get the green light then.

But in all seriously it's not going to be sorted for years, if we win they appeal and take it to the European laws bollocks. So let's just get on and rebuild AG as people say the Atyeo can't be any higher so curve the roof in and trap the accoustics then everyone is happy.

If we at Bristol City are looking to progress....We must move. If we are happy yoyoing between the championship & League 1/2 and want to stand still as a club...then we stay. SIMPLES!

You can't blame the club for not trying to move on. We have been bogged down in legal wrangles far too long with AV even if they have the meeting in Oct regarding the new stadium the decision will not be made until this time 2014, then that will be open to appeals etc.
Clubs have made it to the prem on revamped stadiums WBA Fulham Norwich etc. Progress is moving on and with AV that's not happening it's just stagnating.
The land will still be owned by SL so even if we do get to the promised land and maintain ourselves there then it could then transpire in the future but for now a redeveloped ground upgraded pitch with football and rugby being played on it alternative weekends could start to turn our budget into a positive instead of negative.

well said that man. redevelop we will all be in boxes before the city allows the ground to happen.

This just shows why Bristol is a backwater city sport wise,no ambition.

Ashton gate has soul even if redevoped it will retain more of it than any new stadium could garner, I saw on fb a letter from bristol city saying they and the rugby club want safe standing and will push for it that would cap ashton off maybe terracing in the atyeo away end the lower dolman and corner of wedlock as with boxes being in the new stand cant see there being terracing throughout it

Why build a new stadium with a 30,000 odd capacity when we are odds on to get relegated and have rarely averaged over 19,000 in the last 20 years, so why? I hear all the extra income clap trap, but as far as I am concerned it should be a football stadium first and foremost. I would hate a stadium with seats so far away you need binos to see the action, like Wembley etc.

Until we can get to the top of the Championship or the Prem and consistently pack out AG, then why move. Update AG for more room and better acoustics and let us keep our home!!!!

    Either or
As long as SOMETHING happens soon

It is bringing a weight upon the club, its director and its supporters
