Bristol City taunted in Instagram post following Ashton Gate break in Security staff at Ashton Gate Stadium are investigating Images have been posted to an anonymous social media account, showing two people breaking into Ashton Gate Stadium. please log in to view this image Three pictures of the two young men, their faces obscured by ‘emoji’ images, were posted to an anonymous account yesterday afternoon, and showed the pair posing next to “keep off the pitch” signs in the dark, empty stadium. In the picture caption, the owner of the account taunts Bristol City Football Club , who are based at the stadium, firstly asking them if they would like a video of how easy it was to break in and then tagging several prominent accounts associated with the club including fan pages. please log in to view this image The poster writes: “We have a video that shows how we gained access to the stadium. Never seen anything so easy, this could have been totally different, and we are trying to show how easy this sh*t is. “Your efforts to catch us? Weak. The account has just one post so far, but appears to resemble other so-called ‘urban exploration’ accounts on Instagram, used by photographers to show off their shots of hard-to-reach areas such as the top of skyscrapers and abandoned buildings. Some photographers have amassed millions of followers on the photo-sharing social media platform - a testament to just how popular the craze has become despite the huge risks often taken by the 'explorers'. A quick search of the #urbanexploration on Instagram returns almost three million images, with some anonymous posters performing dangerous stunts in an effort to rack up likes online. David Storr, head of safety and security at Ashton Gate Stadium said: “We are aware of the images that have been posted on social media and there is currently an investigation underway. "The stadium is monitored 24-hours a day by CCTV along with on-site security staff. Anyone found breaking into the stadium will be prosecuted.” please log in to view this image As well as being the home of Bristol City and the Bristol Bears, Ashton Gate is set to host five huge music events next year, with Take That and Rod Stewart already confirmed to take to the stage in May. Last month it was also announced that Ashton gate would become the site of a £100 million development, with a 4,000 capacity venue and four-star hotel included in the plans. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol-news/bristol-city-taunted-instagram-post-2089896
Well they didn't break in to steal your silverware anyway - they'd have wasted too much time looking for it......
Rumour has it they broke into Cardiff Ciry Stadium whilst a game was actually being played , there were so few fans there it took them twenty minutes to notice their mistake.
Dunno about that pal - pretty full at the moment. Trouble is right now, most of us are trying to break out......
Bit that interest me is who are the three live acts to be confirmed. I can guess Muse are one, as they’ve said they are coming to Bristol but not confirmed venue yet.
