Reported this morning that Huw Jenkins is confident we can keep Ashley Williams as Arsenal have been scared off by the 10million price tag.
Where would this put Amat, would he occasionally swap with either Chico or Williams or fill up the Monk role of last season,on the bench until one of them are injured?
Also, has anyone heard anything about that striker we bidded for? Michu Batshyui i think his name was.
If he is added to that six then i assume we wont get redmond?
Canas, Amat, Pozuelo?, Bony?, De Guzman, Michy, possibly a seventh through that goalkeeper. What does everyone think?

The transfer merry- go-round has started to pick up speed now and will be at full speed this coming two months resulting in rumour and speculation in abundance. I believe Laudrup will adopt a squad rotation system this coming season something he couldn't do last season due to the lack of quality he had at his disposal in the squad. With the introduction of several new faces for this coming season he now has far more options being able to bring in quality replacements. The fly in the ointment of coarse can we keep all our players from last season and bring in a quality striker, there is speculation regarding Asley Williams and now Michu being linked with Manchester city. If we do manage to hold on to them and bring in someone like Winfried Bony then I can see a very exciting season ahead.

Guys, Looks like Bartley ging out on loan, with the Europa league going to need every player we have. There is more than enough space for 4 centre backs.

I hope he doesn't as we are not playing Bradford but premier league sides who's players will eat him alive there IMO , I don't think we should send anyone on loan as the number of games we will be playing will increase further if reach the group stages of the Europa Cup

I can't speak for club transfer policy but it seems just two weeks after the agent was banned we are making quick progress in the market. Makes me think if that guy was deliberately messing up to get his client to a bigger club.

We have lost Tiendalli. So Amat is now also cover at right back when Jazz is not on the bench. I could see Amat / Rangel teaming up on the right side like Rangel / Tiendalli last season to lock down the right flank in the final 15 of a game.

I keep forgetting about Taylor .... Sub Taylor for Jazz above. The one thing I think we can bet our money in is that Monk will not been much on the bench this season and Ash had better keep HS head focused because Amat could replace him alongside Chico .... Come to think of it, I thought Bartley did very well alongside Chico last season too - Arsenal game for example.

i hope we can keep ash but its early days yet and he might have had his head turned to higher wages....£10 million is way over the top so i don't blame arsenal for saying no to that in all honesty. If he stays then for god sake take the captaincy off him as he plays a lot better without the responsibility of others. Michu is a tough one and it will all depend who makes a decent offer of around £12-£15 million and he wants to take it or not.....Bony looks as if he wants to go elsewhere but its the wages that is putting him off as he can earn more elsewhere....We are still looking for another 3-4 players before we start our european campaign as we are light weight at the moment, I cant see leon being a regular this season for one and we need a defender and most definitely a top striker, all this is with michu and ash still with us so if we lose them then of course we are going to need a couple more to replace them..

12-15 million for Michu? Your having a laugh Dai. Man City paid 30 million for the likes of Millner, not to mention that Liverpool paid 15 million for Allen. If somebody wants Michu, then they will have to start the bidding in the 20million mark <ok>

valley trust me thats the figure going around....he is not worth anymore mate unless he can do the same this season and we know dam well he cant just by the way he got out muscled by defenders at the end of the season....trevis only went for £7-8 million and he is streets ahead of michu at the moment. If he wants to go and the price is between £12-£15 million then we have a great deal....

If it's on the contract that the release for Williams is £10m then that's what the club values him at, we have all the aces as we have a player we want to keep, and arsenal want this player (allegedly) , as we are in such a strong position they must meet the valuation we put on him!

Thought clubs have learned now that if there is a release clause of that amount, well we want that figure for it to be considered. He has a further 3 years left on his contract and we have no reason to sell him below that figure.
