Smudge1962 Paul Smith More bad news for Swansea as well. Defender Ashley Williams is heading to QPR for £1m. I'm not sure if Swansea will have a team left soon. Click link in sig.
Strange, considering they went up, why would he leave. He has been solid in Championship for long time now, so happy if true. 'More bad news' <--- Is that to do with Graham, I'll check it out! oh, and thanks as ever Northolt.
Hold yer horses Steelmonkey, he's gone to Scotland hasn't he..sunning it up indeedee. Also I agree with SidRangers, how very strange to leave your promoted side. I remember thinking that when the 'wild thing' joined us from crudiff. Must be the magic of R's, also more faith in the R's staying up than swansea.
Northolt I'm going to own up to being a bit dim here. The post started with "more bad news for Swansea" What else has happened? Wouldn't mind Williams though!
I think this is an opportunity for him to cash in, makes you wonder what Swans wage structure is like...
He's referring to his tweet before that one, : Smudge1962 Paul Smith by QPRnot606 So let's dispense with speculation. Newcastle will sign Swansea's Neil Taylor for £1m after meeting a buy-out clause in his contract.
Williams, scored the best 2 own goals last year. IMO he's overrated. But I'm always confident about any new signing (Got my hopes up for Hulse, which backfired)
can't see this one happening lets face it why leave one team that will struggle for another that might
QPR plot raid for Wales star Ashley Williams By talkSPORT Monday, June 6 0 comments QPR want to snatch Ashley Williams from fellow Premier League new-boys Swansea City. The 26-year-old played in every Championship game this season as well as the three Play-off fixtures that led to the Welsh side becoming the first ever to reach the Premier League. But Rangers' financial muscle means they could raid Liberty Stadium for the Wales international and rejuvenate their squad after Neil Warnock released eight players last week. The former Stockport County player would set the Loftus Road side back around ã1.5m. One player not heading to the west London club is Spurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas, who is holding out for a bigger club after being linked with Inter Milan last season
Williams would be a great addition at that price. He's hardly missed a minute's football in 3 seasons, has been in the PFA Championship team of the year two years running, was part of the next best defence in the league (after us) last year and regularly comes up with some cracking goals. What's not to like ?
