seemingly there had been several meetings over this and they thought a total ban would be counter productive
I've said it before.......... the man is VERY thin skinned. He does not like protests that are directed towards him. Protest against the manager, Penfold or the tea lady.......... that's not a problem, but as soon as any venom is pushed his way he gets all pouty and upset. I'm not sure why we don't take advantage of this really ??
To be fair, the club has reached out to the fans in recent years and tried to make relations better and I assume worked closely with the organisers of the flags movements to help them organise their displays, so to use the flags to openly criticise the owner is a bit of a slap in the face to him and the club. They should have used better judgement in my opinion and stuck to rousing support of the team on the pitch rather than get political with it.
