Just an interesting thought - you know those clubs that are associated with quick-fire hirings and firings? Those seedy, impatient chairmen of the world who waste no time in pulling the trigger when the going gets tough?

The Florentino Perezes and Roman Abramoviches of the world, if you like.

Newcastle United are, some would say rightly, associated with getting rid of managers like it's going out of fashion. However, incredulously - in the last 59 months (a few weeks shy of five years), Mike Ashley has only sacked one manager.

Just an interesting stat. Maybe the big guy's not as trigger-happy as the media, and sometimes us, make him out to be?

Similarly, Abu Dhabi have only ever sacked Mark Hughes, since assuming the reigns over four years ago.

Lose tonight and Pardew will be hanging to his job by a thread. Money makes Ashley tick, the Premier League is the best place to make money, if he feels our time in this league is under threat with Pardew in charge he won't hesitate to dismiss him IMO.
