What the hell is going on with your club? First there are rumours that Frank will go to United, now it's Cole!

I know that Mad Dog wants a revolution at CFC, but even you lads must now think he's going too far?

Trying to find a positive for you, here... do you believe that Mad Dog got rid of RDM so that you would not have a club legend held responsible for getting rid of two of your best ever players, and possibly to your deadliest rivals? Do you think Mad Dog has put Coco in charge to take the flak? Better that it's a hated figure, someone who has viciously slated your club in the past, as the fall-guy, rather than your beloved RDM.

I'm not sure that Mad Dog is capable of thinking that far ahead, but I'm trying to find some angle for you guys.

Well, Ozzie isn't, but every fan-base has its unfortunates, and that is something that cannot be helped, I'm afraid.

 

Have read about Frank and Cole being lined up by United in many places last few weeks, so don't understand why anyone is surprised or doubts the reporting. Examine it a bit. Frank has said openly that he wants 2 or 3 years more with no loss of salary. Chelsea would be truly lunatics to agree with that. We would be equally as loopy NOT to give him 1 year at a reduced salary. If he says no, fair do's common sense has been attempted. If United offer him 1 year, which has been reported, does anyone think it will be at 150 grand for that year ???????? I don't. So expect Frank will either go down in quality to somewhere like QPR, at a greatly reduced salary, or more likely abroad to China or USA who will give him what he wants because the standard is lower and he can do the business for the time frame.
Cole is in a better possition because he has 2 or 3 years of top football left. He may well go to Utd, but he's a greedy bastard and will take the money before the career. PSG or Real for him.

 

You speak much sense, CP, and you may well be proven right. Although, everything I've heard and been told about Lampard is that he loves his family too much to want to hike them around the world, or to be apart from them for extended periods. I can't see him going abroad, personally.

However, I think you would be crazy to let either player go: Cole, because he is still one of the best at LB, and Lampard, because surely the club has got to be eyeing an ambassadorial role for him, when he finally hangs up his boots. Mad Dog is quite happy to spunk away millions of pounds on playing manager-roulette, and yet gets very coy when it comes to treating CFC legends with any kind of respect or dignity.
