An hour and a half away from the start of what could be the pivotal test......an England win and they regain the Ashes, Australia win and all set up for the decider at the Oval. England without the king of swing, will be slightly hampered although Wood is a decent replacement at a ground where swing bowling prevails. Also will Mitchell Johnson be able to locate the pitch after his melt down at Edgbaston or will the TB crowd rise to the challenge and act as the 12th man for England..... Weather seems set for the day, pitch a tinge of green, overcast conditions, do you bat or bowl? Who'd be a captain? C'mon England.....
Heard earlier that England have only won two tests in the last 8 years when Anderson was missing and they were both against Bangladesh.
England win toss and will bowl.... Also England have won 5 of the last 6 tests at TB and drew the other......have faith Strolls....
Always a risk to bowl first (as you bat last) - but as i said last test, it makes for a much better match if its not a case of the 1st innings always racking up 500+ just because of the coin toss
It takes guts to bowl first. Some captains bat first regardless of the pitch. Always admire someone who backs themselves. In saying that, hope we can get a good score on the board.
