Anyone into the cricket ? Makes a change from transfer gossip.

England dominated most of the sessions in Cardiff

Should the Aussies bring in Siddle to bowl some line and length and Lords and drop Johnson?

And maybe bring in Marsh for Watson too?

I thought this test would be a draw and the series would end up 2-2, but has Haddington dropped Root and the Ashes... A la warne, 2005?

For England. Should we keep an out of form Ballance?

I believe there is a cricket forum over there somewhere. No over there, a bit further.....keep going, no further right and back keep going. You'll know it when you'll see it.

I'm a cricket fan and on the opposite side of the fence to you.
Good win for England on a pitch that suited them, if the rest are like that one, it's us who have the bowling problems.Hopefully I might see some application from our batsmen as well, yours were a cut above in patience.
Looks like Starc might make the next one, if not Siddle for me. Lords should be tailor made for Johnson, so I think he'll play.
Can't see how Watson can play in front of an in form Marsh, but it's always been harder to get OUT of an Australian team than IN.
England are unchanged so Ballance gets another chance, which he probably deserves.
Hope to see a bit more fight and determination from my mob, wouldn't ming winning the toss either !

Ballance maybe deserves one more chance.

Why do you think Lords is tailor made for Johnson? Would he bowl at the Pavilion end? Traditionally seam bowlers such as Hazlewood use the slope well from the pavilion end, and swing bowlers from the Nursery end.

With your left armers, this may be reversed.

Which end would you bowl Mitchell J and Mitchell S from?

Blimey, too technical for me, I was simply referring to the fact that Johnson is best when the pitch has some life in it, Cardiff was as dead as a dodo. Your bowlers can swing the ball you use, ours are not too flash unless they use the Kookaburra. Our blokes need some help from the pitch and if they get it, are a far more potent force. Lords has traditionally had something for pacemen, which is why our touring teams have such a good record there.Your great bowlers like Anderson, don't use as much help from the pitch because they have developed a great technique from bowling for years on dead pitches. Assuming Lords hasn't been "doctored" to a carpet, which I don't think has happened, then Johnson should be much more dangerous, and if so I sure hope the next one is a bit more competitive. England played smarter, better and more professionally than us, and pleased to see no sign of slagging off by either team. Looking forward to some really good cricket, and expecting Aust to up the ante a tad. Nice to talk without the usual PL denegrating of the opposition.

Haddin out for personal reasons: good thing for you guys maybe?

Starc is quality and if he is fit, he is the danger bowler for me along with Hazlewood, at Lords.

Siddle has experience of the slope at Lords.

Recently we've done better against you guys at Lords (09, 13).

Before that McGrath rolled us over in 97, 01, 05: he was without doubt the greatest exponent of the slope that Lords has ever witnessed. He was unplayable bowling from the Pavilion end

Then he went and "rolled" his bleeding ankle on one of those balls we can't swing !!!
