I seem to remember that you cannot include a clause like that when you are selling a player. If you are selling him he is no longer yours and cannot decide who he plays against. Loans are obviously different and there is nothing against a gentleman's agreement, but such a clause is not allowed.
i see it being a Gary Brabin-esque return, applauded to begin with....then after 60mins he'll throw a headbutt at one of our players he dislikes!!
As he's out of contract in the summer lets make it a loan deal and agree he can sign a precontract with them now as well. Effectively a transfer, but with the bonus that he can't play against us.
**** that get him off the pay roll now! he wants the move $$$$$$$$$$$$$ in his eyes.this isn't about been loyal to a player,it's about a player getting paid as much s he can.
let's be fair to Ash, City don't want to give him another long term contract, Brown will do it we know that he'll talk his chairman round.. So what would you do? You'd do as Ash is doing, 2 years more at PNE takes him to 36 years.. pity that he'll be going down to League One in all probability but it won't worry him - he's a master of all divisions.. The only thing amiss was the timing, Nigel mentioned that but we still came through it and gave a decent account of ourselves vs a good side...
I'll try again: a) Loan him to Preston with them paying his wages. Also let him sign a precontract for a 2 year deal starting in the summer. b) Let Preston sign him now on a 2 1/2 year deal. a) and b) are effectively the same thing, except in a) we get to say he can't play against us. Any transfer fee - which I think is unlikely anyway - can just be charged as a loan fee.
I like the loan idea. However, when i woke up thiis morning it was following a dream of him being applauded on, scoring in the first minute, taking Harper out for the rest of the season in the second and leaving the pitch with a red card and even more applause from the Tiger nation in the third. Perhaps I'm being unfair on Harper.
I know, why's he dreaming about Harper being on the receiving end of a hard tackle from Ashbee, the nearest I come to that is when I'm dreaming about someone looking like Mrs Ashbee being on the receiving end of my hard tackle.
