Apologies for putting this up so early even before the daily thread is up but i think this is a fantastic bet tomorrow and that the 8-1 will be gone very quickly. At that price it is even possible to go each way if you wanted to be safe but i cannot see it being beat. He is a group 3 winner twice whilst most in this field are aspirational handicappers. You have to respect zero money and Desert Law but they have not posted any form of this horse so far.

One other in the race is Dajaarat who i put up in a thread about the Ayr Gold cup saying i felt he was better than a handicapper. He ran very poorly in the race and so i will desert him today but watch him very closely to see if he does have what i thought he did. I cannot see him beating Astrophysical jet at level weights.

Obviously at his best, would go very close. I wonder if it needs quick ground to use its raw pace.

One for me who I would take an e/w chance on at the prices is Mayson, who was a pretty good 2 Y O- 2.5L behind Zebedee in a Goodwood Group 3 and not disgraced behind Temple Meads in a Group 2. Back on a firmer footing tomorrow should bounce right back after a very promising reappearance in a good handicap at Ripon in the St Wilfred.

yes no doubting it is a good horse but trainer is local to me and thus ive been following him and although he has only 50 horses in training hecant get a tune out of anything, i fear hes a poor trainer who cant keep his superstars in top form.

Ed McMahon is still unsure whether Astrophysical Jet is over the problems which have so far seen her underperform this season.

The filly runs in the Macquarie Group Rous Stakes at Ascot on the back of one of her better performances of the campaign at Newbury last time out, behind Deacon Blues in a Group Three.

"She's been out of sorts all year. She's had a virus that has been really hard to kick into touch. She's bouncing around but I'm still not sure if she's fully back," said McMahon.

"She didn't disgrace herself last time she ran. I quite like the way she ran in the King's Stand but, even so, if you look at her three-year-old form she was receiving 1lb from Prohibit and went and beat him. I hope she bounces back next year because she's a lovely filly and she's from a good family."

Marcus Tregoning expects Darajaat to put behind her a disappointing run in the Ayr Gold Cup. The Lambourn trainer felt the filly was unsuited by the soft ground in Scotland, but conditions are likely to be in her favour at the Berkshire track.

She had performed with credit in smart company on her two previous starts, finishing second to Rose Blossom at Pontefract and Dinkum Diamond at Newmarket.

Tregoning said: "I don't think she ran her race at Ayr because of the ground. It's quite difficult for these fillies who fall between two stools.

"This is her level. We've just got to slot her into one and get the run of the race. She ran a blinder at Pontefract."

Good luck with your bet Bluesky but just thought you would want to read this article from the news section of attheraces.com before putting your money down.

Thanks for posting that Rounders, the money is unfortunately or maybe still fortunately down on Astrophysical jet as i could see the price shortening. What the write up you have kindly printed has done is persuade me to have another go with Daraajat. When i put him up for the Ayr Gold cup it was because his previous form was a second to Rose Blossom with Dever Dream and the poppy horse that runs in the group race in third and fourth. I was so dejected by his run at Ayr i considered i had maybe got him wrong but His trainer (if you can call him that) gives some hope that he does have the ability. I will place a bet on Daraajat now as at the prices having two runnning is not the worst bet in the world.
