I would if I was allowed but them carrot crunchers got me banned. I still dont know what I did to upset them.
Something about a link with a virus in it , was it? Doesn't matter now: BBC606 statement Back in January it was announced that BBC Online's budget would be cut by 25 per cent. At the time we announced that the impact of this budget cut on the BBC Sport website would be the closure of four services within the BBC Sport website - namely the 606 website, the Fun and Games section, the Sports News video bulletin and the Academy section, as well as a turning down of the volume in certain sports where our current levels of coverage could not be sustained. Tomorrow (Tuesday 31 May) the latest implementation of that announcement will happen as the 606 website closes during the morning. The Fun and Games section has already closed, and the other changes will follow soon. The reasons for the closure of 606 were explained in full in January in a blog by the Head of BBC Sport Interactive, Ben Gallop and tomorrow's closure is merely the implementation of that decision which was taken at the start of 2011.
Sad to see the old site go. Have done my bit and put up a post extolling the virtues of not606. I think most of us have already moved over now anyway.
