I posted this question a couple of weeks ago and having watched yesterday's game, I think it is still a valid question.
Looking at the game yesterday, we played a rigid 4 5 1, with or without the ball. In reality we looked like we had set our stall out to defend, as if we were playing an away fixture.
Fact is that Liverpool had all the pressure. 20 shots for them 6 shots for us......and yes we were at home to a team playing poorly.

    Change anyone?

Name me your 4-4-2 lineup then??
Who would u drop Sess, McClean or Johnston?

I don't think theres anything wrong with our formation. We just need to be patient. We've only played 3 league games!!!

I don't think we play 4-5-1 though, I think thus far we have played 4-4-2 with Sess' being **** most of the time!"

Got to play 2 forwards...probably Fletcher and Saha. Put Sess on left and drop McClean on current showing. Having said that, Sess has been no better.
Good sides....say Man U yesterday, play at home with 2 up top, yesterday it was Chicorito and Welbeck. That doesn't mean that they don't defend with one dropping back, but it does mean that they attack in 442.
We will play better teams than Liverpool yesterday and we cannot concede 20+ shot every game and expect to keep the score down.
