now that we are selling our most potent force? Respect to Best & Ranger but they're not of the same quality?

Also, I don't quite understand why the board are claiming that when Carroll handed in his transfer request there was nothing they could do about it. Surely the board gave him permission to talk to Liverpool? And if I was 22 and was told how my wages would treble overnight I'd probably have done the same.

Just when I fooled myself into thinking we were about to go through a period of stability, this happens and the comedy continues.

Can someone convince me it is a good thing?

35m(Will probably end up spending half of it though..)

Gives Ranger & Airey more chances? Ranger APPARENTLY has more potential than Carroll.

It's obviously not a good thing, but it's not the end of the world. We've got enough to stay up this season and a decent warchest for the summer.

I wonder how much of that £35 million + (reportedly) will be available in the summer though AG.

When Ranger starts setting the The Prem alight, Ashley will do the same and sell him on.

Under Ashley we will be a selling club.

I wait to see who Pardew brings in, it should give us an idea which direction the club is going .

How many games has Carroll missed over the last few weeks because of the thigh injury? If you think about it, your lads have done good without him. His loss may cost you a place or two in the league, but IMO you have no need to worry about relegation. Looks like both clubs will be spending big on strikers in the summer!

Yes but we buy salads, not "5 belly packs" of cornish pasties...

    TRANSLATION FOR THE MAGS: SALAD

A combination of two or more raw edible low calorie materials of plant origin

I just can't get over how much this will destroy team spirit.
If we stay up, would be nice to think we would get all that money to spend.

I'm just concerned who his replacement is going to be.

I'm from Peterlee mate, living in exile and used to work for Sunderland Council driving a bin wagon, so very familiar with where all the pie shops are! We've got plenty of Greggs down here in Dorset too. Makes me feel right at home really! :)

  20. There was actually a study, and it resulted that Newcastle fans are actually only the 18th out of 20 fattest clubs, Sunderland are the fattest.
