    Probably a relief to win as I think the Whitecaps are bottom of the league. Could have done with him to score from some (ie any) of our hopeless set pieces last season.

    Nice guy and I wish him well - but would he really have done that if he didn't know the net was there?

    Does the MLS have promotion/relegation? I'm guessing not,although more Amercian clubs are sprouting up all the time :emoticon-0104-surpr

    No, it's essentially a franchise system with separate conferences within the league and play offs at the end. Whitecaps and Portland Timbers were new entries this season. With Seattle Sounders already there the local rivalry in the north west should be good.

    Apparently, when the Timbers score, a guy comes on with a chainsaw and starts cutting a log. Novel idea. What could we do along those lines?
